How is he a solid manager? He rode the greatest hitter of all time (steroid aided) to the World Series and in Chicago rode a 60 homer man and two unhittable pitchers to the NLCS. The man can't win without his horses as he would say.

What an irrelevent post. Most managers who have success have good players.

What I was saying is he cant with with just good players. He needs dominating players.

Yeah, Rodey. It was already six hours old when you posted it.

Ouch Rick, that hurts.

It boggles the mind why the Cubs didn't fire him long ago.

Nothing the Cubs do should boggle anyone's mind...[8D]

That's true. Maybe my mind is just easily boggleable.

Although BOGGLEABLE is not in the dictionary, if you Google it you will find many people referencing the word. Much like the word ain't, I am sure it still has a definition, although slang. Just clearing the table.

As discussed many times and mostly to nausea, Dusty Baker can't win the big game. Never has, never will. He lost control in Chicago after the debacle in the NLCS. He should have been gone last year, but rode the shirttails of promise. Never happened. As for Girardi, that makes no sense letting him go. He helped lead the youngest and most underpaid team in the majors to a great season. For what? Nothing. I wish he'd find interest in Milwaukee and we'd move Yost to 1st base or something. Since Melvin is obviously just fine with Yost, we aren't going anywhere, and we're doing it fast.
