Perhaps I shouldn't be initiating these Badger Men's Basketball threads. Bucky has been horsesh_t as of late, when I author these topics. If anyone else can be counted on to get these threads up & going before the each of the remaining games tip-off (especially if UW loses again tonight in Champaign), just say so and I will kindly step aside.

Tip-off Tuesday evening (2/4/14) in Champaign-Urbana, ILL is 8:00 CST. Television is BIG Ten Network (BTN).

If the Badgers lose this one, I will give it a try. I went on a hot streak last year.

Wisconsin is somehow favored by 4.

Some of the calls on Frank and on Josh Gasser had me scratching my head & rubbing my eyes .... []

To me it almost felt this game was a long long looooooong series of make up calls. One ref would call an offensive foul, the other would make up for it on the other end with a defensive foul. Like they got together at the start of the game and decided amongst themselves that the NCAA wanted more fouls called, soooooo let's just go with that.

Win. SO we have that going for us.

Nigel Hayes is a beast down low. Reminds me of a guy i played with in high school. He was only 6'0'' or 6'1'' but could dominate down low. It didnt matter if it was same height or taller guarding him. His low post moves were too much for them. Its exactly what hayes does. Dare i say, moving forward, Nigel will be the best player on this team for the next two years(God willing on his FTs)

Nice to see Dekker find his stroke. I didnt see Trae force too much, improvement. Defense was better.

Frankie just needs to break out of his slump to get the team back on track.

I'm snowed in in Indy and the BTN was out the whole first half due to weather, but it's amazing how good this team can be when Trae is playing within himself. He didn't try to do too much and took what was there. Aside from a few bad passes he played exactly how Wisconsin needs him to play.

The future is bright with BK and Nigel. BK had two straight threes 90 percent down and couldn't get them to fall. His passing skills are something the Badgers haven't seen for quite some time. Nigel might be the best post player since Mike W. He is basically a layup or a free throw unless he is double teamed. Once he starts making his free throws he could lead the big ten in scoring.

If they can somehow win in the Kohl against MSU they might be back on track. It sounds like Payne will be back.

I love to see this because I've known Mike almost my whole life. The pride of my alma mater, Wisconsin Heights High School. Secondly, you're dang right. I think he's almost better than Mike W. If he develops a knack for hitting some jumpers, he'll be even better.
