Per Brice Marich, Chryst and Ben Strickland are visiting Zach Baund today so I would assume that he took the recruiting coordinator role.

Not necessarily. The Badgers haven't officially hired a WR coach yet, so they have an opening on staff technically that Strickland can go in-home to recruit.

I asked Baun if there was discussion of whether Strickland would return:

"To be honest with you, I have no clue whether he's staying or leaving. But I can tell you that his compassion and willingness to help the University is still there."

I also asked him if there was discussion of him coming in right away in the fall rather than delaying a semester as a greyshirt. He said Chryst wants him "as soon as possible", but indicated he does need to sure up his core GPA.
The Packers/Badgers/Brewers are like your children; you don't love them because they're good, you love them because they're yours.

'sure up his core GPA'??
Are you talking about his high school GPA?
If so, it is going to be tough to do with the limited time he has left in high school.

Norvell pulled a ton of great talent from California as well. He wasn't just limited to Texas. Beatty was great in Virginia, but it's near impossible to get 757 kids to leave. He should thrive now that he is at Virginia, but Norvell should be able to demolish Beatty's recruiting at Wisconsin.

I hope so!

In other news, Adam Rittenberg is reporting that UW will hire Hawaii secondary coach Daronte Jones to coach the secondary at UW. If true, it doesn't look good for either Strickland or Busch.

The Badgers will most likely hire one more defensive coach. I think one of Busch or Strickland will stay. My money would be on Strickland.

Mickey Turner is officially the TE coach. Looks like the only coach left on the offensive side of the ball to hire is a WR coach which is rumored to be Norvell.

From the press release today it looks like both Busch and Strickland will be gone.

The Badgers need a WR coach (norvell), a DBs coach (all but official with Jones) and an OLB coach.

I would think Busch is definitely gone. I would also think Ben Stickland stays (in some capacity) if, for no other reason than his ability to recruit and his relationship with H.S. coaches, especially in the southern 1/3 of the state of WI.

The Badgers used to have a "recruiting coordinator" on their staff under Barry Alvarez. I remember Bernie Wyatt filling that role for some time. I think Rob Ianello held that position also.

Good thinking there, Mick. I read an article saying he had been offered the recruiting coordinator position and that he was mulling it over. It said he wants to stay at Wisconsin, but he would also like to have a coaching job.
