"Menomonie head football coach Joe LaBuda guarantees a victory"?????

WOW!!! Very bold statement to guarantee a victory

It says LaBuda guarantees a victory for the MHS Indians.

MHS Indians=both Mukwonago and Menomonie.

no he's not. i saw that right away also and thought the dunn county news screwed up because they have mistakes all the time. LaBuda would never ever gaurentee a victory. i had to look at it again and it said the MHS Indians as in both schools are the MHS indians so one of them will win

So the article says who Mukwonago has coming back and stuff, but who are the studs for Menominee? Do they have a lot of returning starters?

The article didn't mention Dane LeMieux, the new QB (5-11, 176), he's fast and has a great arm. He and Budiac will be a great combo in that backfield.

Thank you, Dane's brother.

its the menomonie paper so they usually only interview LaBuda and he doesnt talk up any of his players plus its the first game so the paper cant really make any predictions either

"LaBuda also commented on the level of play, Mukwonago faces on a weekly basis. Menomonie is the only team in its conference to have won a state title. Mukwonago is one of five teams from its conference to win a state title in the last eight seasons."

I'm guessing that means while in the BRC right? I know Rice Lake has a title, but I don't believe they won it while in the Big Rivers?

Muksports 17 who are you? Secondly, he absoultely is starting, and has been #1 on the depth chart since the day after the Racine Park game last season. You can call it a race, but no one comes close in overall skill or reliablility. The only place that said it was a race was the Waukesha Freeman, which also made some other "ridiculous" remarks in my opinion. Lastly, I'm not sure how many times you have stood next to my brother, but I have known him for 18 years, the kid is 5-11.

p.s. I like what you said on the team of the decade post, at least share you name so I can give you some credit.

Has he been 5-11 for all of those 18 years?

Yeah, the Mukwonago Chief also posted their is a race! Shulte even said its up for grabs between Lemuix,Mayer,Zweirlin. Honestly, some believe Mayer should be Quaterback. The Chief also said Zweirlin was a decent passer not giving credit to your brother. According to the Jsonline your brother shows some stats on paper. Average 5.1 yards when rushing and was 2for3on passes the whole year. If I remember though didn't fumble some last year too? Your brother is going to have the most pressure on himself then anyone on the field. How do you replace a John Witte? How do you start off with the new option offense? Plus he has Mayer right on his back. Granted unless he chokes he will be the starter this year. With the o-line Mukwonago brings to the plate Lemiux may have a blowout year. Honestly I think your putting alot of unnessary hype on your brother. I honestly believe the only way he looks good is with a decent option attack with Budiac and Huber and the new oline sceem works the way we all hope it does. If they go into the passing game thats were I worry. He is small and is going to be hard seeing past guys like McIntyre and Pulcynski. Dane's only pass that wasn't caught my Mukwonago was an Interception. Some also believe Mayer should start and get two years out of him like we did with Witte. Most people believe Dane and Mayer are the exact same in talent. All I know is tomorrow is the start of a new Era and whoever is the Quaterback we have to support. The tradition will continue under Shulte and I'm pumped even though I don't have my butt on the sidelines anymore. If we all remember 3years ago when people said Witte would be horrible. Well D1 title and Mvp later we were proved wrong. Mukwonago has all the potentiel to beat PARK this year. The middle of the D-line is going to stop Clay just like they did last year. If the Outside backers step up and Corners mature we will beat Park.
And Mukwonago will once again be State Champs!!!!!

i may be a little out of line cuz im wasted but its not because i dont know football, but i think menomonie wins this game by 14+ points. i can see it being a close game but i see menomonie winning either way. you just came on this site talking about god knows what on your first post. get it together man. and good luck to both teams, and go Menomonie!!!

I stayed for the first half (it was a 6:00 start and the game moved quickly with so few passes - score was 31-0 at half) and then headed over to Arrowhead (7:00).

Menomonie's RBs - Bauer and Fiege - are very good. It seemed like Menomonie was always playing on a short field and took advantage of everything Muk gave them. Mukwonago did look like they were experimenting with different QBs especially after they got behind early. They moved the ball between the 20s but their drive would either stall or they would screw up (there was a pick and two fumbles in the first half). Mukwonago doesn't have a quick strike offense and they looked like they were out of their rhythm once they got down by two TDs.
