Schuster will not play football this year. I heard he is going to concentrate on hoops.

Steinbach broke his ankle on the first day of practice and looks like he is out for the season. Hopefully he can come back for track.

I also heard Melka did not get medical clearance to play and he is not expected to contribute.

AHS did pretty decent at their scrimmage. They looked like they are working on more of an option attack now that Schuster is not going to be the QB. They played Wisconsin Lutheran pretty close - although I thought Wisco was a tad bit better.

I assume you are talking about Echols. He showed good footspeed. Not as much wiggle and elusiveness as Whiteside last year or Lopez before that. He broke off some runs for sizable gains against Luther Prep and Madison Memorial. Wisco used a number of backs and did not really feature one individual guy.

According to the preview in today's Freeman Arrowhead is moving to a split-back veer offense instead of their wing-T.
