I am just wondering if anyone has any input on who could be a suprise in the upcoming season. It should be a good season, because a lot of teams are on ups and downs with the loss of impact players from last year.

Pec/Argyle will surprise teams this year and i'm not just saying that because i am an alum. These guys are gonna be big... averaging 200+ lbs on the line and have the personel to have an entire front 8 on defense of 185 or higher considering who steps up. Took a big hit when projected starting qb/cb Devin Jeglum was deemed unfit for football due to concussion problems but Jeremy Meudt is no slouch either. In the backfield it will kind of a new look from 3 years of the brusing Vlasak to the combo of Jared Johnson (So.) and Charlie Rubio (Jr.) who are built smaller but are very shifty and have good break-away speed. Overall i don't think P/A should be picked to be conference champs due to inexperiance all around but i would definately not count them out.
Thats all... I'm out like a lampshade

Haha thanks Pete, but we have a lot of talent and have had a crowded weight room thus far in the summer.

Moving the ball doesn't mean anything if u cant stop the other team from moving the ball. As for the lampshade i agree w him and my opinion is alil biased because i am also an alum. Pec-Argyle I think will surprize some teams this year being as big as they are goin to be. Ya i know it's weird hearing that PA is goin to surprize teams of all things but with there size? I think alot of ppl oround here are anchious to see how how this team is going to do being as they are goin to be a big team for once. oh ya look out for milestone he's a one man team. I got ya Trev

An early game to watch is Potosi VS Pec/ARG in week two. Whatever team is ready early in the season and comes out on top will have a leg up on the loser. It should be quite a match up if the early hype means anything. Both teams are going to have big O-lines. Potosi is going to have to play their big guys both ways, will Pec or can they platoon on defense? That may mean something late in the game if Potosi big guys are not in shape.

Like I said before, Potosi is going to have a really small, but fast back seven on defense. Taylor, Austin, Post, Dakota, Colin, Ray, Sean and ? (I know I forgot somebody), are going to be part of the fastest defense Potosi has had in awhile. Plus they have the two six foot five defensive ends if they stay healthy.

I have heard that the big guys are throwing around a lot of weight in the weight room, now the time is coming to develop that into blocking people. August will be here soon guys. Keep working!

Your right we are putting up some big weight, but i think the main need right now is conditioning. Guys need to start running. wont do us alot of good if we have guys that can put up 400 pounds if they dont last the whole game.

i dont know if Highland as a team will surprise anyone, but i think Tyler Kleist may show up a little bit. He is a little tank with speed. will only be a soph, but will still be an impact player i think. and even though i hardly ever have see him in the weight room, i have never seen anyone as physically strong as him for his age...
UW-LaCrosse... or UW-Milwaukee... that is the question.
