Following D-lineman Datone Jones' 1-game suspension for substance abuse earlier this week, comes the arrest early Saturday morning of Packers' tight end Andrew Quarless, in Miami, for firing a gun during an altercation.

Nice to see that the Packers have their share of stupid athletes. This is why I find professional sports so offensive now. Too many of these guys are way too dumb to be making the money that is thrown at them by the teams. Every one who gets in trouble should be cut immediately and not signed by any other team. That is the only way to clean up the sewer.

I'd argue this stuff is already too prevalent at the HS level, let alone pro.

There's a socio-economic debate in here, but it's not one I feel like having today.

Kenny78 I agree with you completely. Andrew Quarless just recently stated in previous reports stated he is a upper echelon tight end sorry Drew far from it.... an upper echelon Tight End carries himself professionally on and off the field. He should be held accountable by Thompson and McCarthy and be given his walking papers. I'm sorry have no tolerance for poor decision making. I am in Richard Rodgers corner!

Green Bay media outlets reporting today that Datone Jones' 1-game suspension by the NFL is a result of Jones being busted for possession of marijuana during traffic stop in Green Bay near the end of the 2014 season.

Hard to believe the information about the traffic stop never became public knowledge until the suspension... Or was it out there and I missed it?

I don't recall hearing anything about Jones' traffic stop until Wednesday, 7/8/15.
