The ballots came out a little while ago, so who you got?

East-
G-Rajon Rondo
G-Dwyane Wade
F-Lebron James
F-Chris Bosh
C-Dwight Howard
Bench-Derrick Rose, Danny Granger, Caron Butler, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jose Calderon, Vince Carter
Snubs-Ray Allen, Devin Harris, Joe Johnson, Antawn Jamison

The East was pretty difficult at the point this year. Some of this is my opinion and some of this is what I think will happen. Vince Carter is shooting very efficiently this year so he gets the nod for me. Harris, although he has been playing great, can't fit on the ballot with 3 other PG's in place already.

West-
G-Chris Paul
G-Kobe Bryant
F-Carmelo Anthony
F-Tim Duncan
C-Yao Ming
Bench-Amare Stoudemire, Brandon Roy, Andris Biedrins, Dirk Nowitzki, Al Jefferson, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant
Snubs-Andrew Bynum, Carlos Boozer, OJ Mayo, David West

How can you leave Rondo off? Rasheed and Joe Johnson don't deserve to be on. JJ is shooting horribly this year, that's why I put Carter on over him who's shooting 40% from deep.

As for the West...I like your starting lineup, but it's 2 guards, 2 forwards and 1 center. Kobe and Roy are both guards. I guess now that I re-look at it, I'd slide Nowitzki into the starting lineup over Melo. Leaving Biedrins off is a tragedy and it's going to happen.

No it is not, there are plenty of better F/C in the West.

I can't believe you're calling a guy averaging 10-7 the starting PG. I love Rondo, I think he's made great strides this year and could be an all star in the future, but as for now, I would put Ray Allen as the 3rd Celtic not him.

Ray should have been all star MVP last year, this year he's actually playing better. He's .2 ppg away from being the leading scorer on the best team in basketball. I think he needs to be an All Star.

Phil Jackson is going to be the coach on the All-Star team. There is no way Pau doesn't make it.

Are you asking for predictions or opinions?

EDIT: I'm just curious, why is Bynum a snub and Gasol isn't when Gasol is clearly ouplaying him?

You guys obviously know your stuff but this fan voting for all star teams leaves something to be desired in my eyes. Prime example is in the NHL right now. The wild's Marion Gaborik has played like 2 games yet has 46,000 votes. Maybe they allow multiple voting. []

Rondo is a better playmaker, quicker on defense and is shooting 51% from the field. Harris is getting his points because he's the 2nd best scorer on a bottom feeder in the East. I like Harris, I think he could be a really gifted player but as of right now, I think he needs to realize he's a better defender and assist-man than a 20 PPG type point guard.

1.) Big deal if Rajon Rondo is better in those aspects of the game. What matters is production and Devin Harris has CLEARLY been more productive than Rondo who has had a late surge as of late, but started off the season kind of shaky. What Harris has done for Nets is quite impressive. He is helping resurge a franchise that has been looking for new faces. I'll take Harris, who is shooting 49% and averaging 25, 6, and 4 over a guy like Rondo, who started off the season shaky but has come as of late, but is still averaging just 10, 7, and 5...

2.) Bottom feeder in the East? OK, the Nets are not the most impressive franchise, but they are still a game over .500 and in 6th place. Not exactly a bottom feeder.

3.) You may think Harris needs to realize that, but for what he's doing right now, it is greatly out-producing what Rondo dreams. Hell, I'm sure Harris would love to have Garnett, Allen, and Pierce on his squad. That would make him an even better player. However, he has to work with what he's got (basically on Carter) and he is playing excellent now.

You know your stuff, cameron, we all know that. However, you're wrong on this one. No possible way Rondo gets the nod at PG over Harris if the production for each player stays steady until the All-Star break...

Rajon Rondo is a flat out borderline scrub. If he were to make the All-Star team as the starter, he'd be the worst starting player in All-Star game history. He was the #1 weak link on the court for Boston last year in the Finals. He isn't an All-Star level player, he just happens to play with three guys who are and who make him look somewhat decent.
