Some surprises from these lists:
1. Downing as girls MVP comes out of left field, but then, there weren't really any standouts. She did quietly carry this team though, as I don't think they would have done as well without her experience.
2. Drier making first team boys. Not being biased or anything, but I kind of figured McCann from NL would have made it in.
3. Alexander not only taking in MVP and first team, but also the sportsmanship award. Not saying that he isn't a nice kid or anything like that, you just don't see that all that often.
I will not apologize for being awesome.

Is there a complete list of boys/girls All-Conference from basketball?
That'd be quite helpful.

i had actually thought downing would get player of the year and deserved it, as for dreier other then the new lisbon games he played quite well vs everyone, and i too am suprised to not see mccan on the list.

No doubt, Downing deserved it, as well as a few others.

I will not apologize for being awesome.

I'm obviously a little biased but I am kind of surprised to see Royall gets 5 All-Conference, 3 first team, while Hillsboro only gets 3 overall. I thought Zimmerman was worthy of first team but this first team is stacked, but I thought Donovan or Bjornsen was deserving of at least honorable mention. I'm not trying to take anything away from Royall, I just thought a few more Hillsboro guys should have gotten some representation.
Well sir, while I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Every thing is funner with a runner!

Cross Country. The 3 miles are easy, but the .1 really hurts!

Maybe this will ease your pain a little, Pat Alexander was named to the D4 All State team this morning. Congrats to him, he certainly deserves it.

Quietly is right. I don't think I heard the girl say a word in the game I watched her play. Definitely don't think Downing was the most deserving player of the award but, I guess it wouldn't be the first thing I've ever disagreed with on the voting in this conference.
