The Tide need to realize Bear is gone, they are not that good of a team, and if they think that the Bears legacy means that they can get someone like Saban who is being successfull in the NFL they clearly do not understand that. Right now, and for the past 15 years, Bama has been an average team relying upon Bear's legacy. That doesn't cut it unless your ND.
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

Why not add Tressel and Carrol as well. Through in Stoops for good measure.
Why, in gods name, would Tedford leave a Cal program that is returning almost everyone and looks to be a contender? Or Beamer leave VT when they are projected as a top 5 team next year?
Alvarez? No way in hell would he take that piss hole.
Nutt, Grobe, Leavitt? Their programs are building, they won't leave to start from scratch.
Sherman? They can have him. He'd give Bama 3 more years of piss-poor play before he got canned.

No top coach wants that job. The expectation is to win, and win fast, or you are out. They don't have top players, just got out of NCAA infractions, an won't be competing for atleast four years with the current recruiting classes and talent.

Oh that's BS and you know it. I saw it on ESPN yesterday. I wanna say it was on NFL Live or Around the Horn (could be wrong though). Where they commented on who resembled Bear Bryant the most and commented on how Switzer is 69 years old. You're not fooling anybody here. It's not a problem to suggest him...just credit your source.

How did Mike Sherman get on the list not to mention he lacks the personality and most of the time, he looks timid and clueless.
"For some players, luck itself is an art."

"They say you're a man of vision."

"Welcome to NASCAR. Where the rules are made up and the points don't matter."

"What would you sell your freedom for?"
"Some Knicks tickets."

I just can't figure out why anyone in a good program would want the Bama job. I agree that they need to accept that Bear Bryant is gone and they can't replace him. I hope whomever takes the job is given a chance.
