The only reason why wisconsin dosnt get any love is that they always play non conference football agaist the sun belt or the mountain west or the mac. i would love to see them agaist a texas a&m,oregon,v-tech,or evan a south carolina. play teams and big conference get your tv ratings up and get your bcs chances up.

I thought they scheduled a game against V-tech in the future. Schedules get made so far in advance that it sometimes is tough to know who is going to be good that far in advance. Understandably, those good teams most likely wont be out of the sun belt, but they are scheduling better teams.
"Son, what are you doing sleeping in my daughter's dormroom?"
-"Uhhhhh, i got to go, im late for class."
-"Its Saturday morning."
-"Then im really late for class. Where are my pants?"

i just dont get why the badgers dont play all conference teams...and if needed then, throw in a few non conference games...

I agree 100%. The Badgers (Alverez) always have such a cream puff non-conference schedule that it is next to impossible to get any respect in the national polls. Until they get a decent non-conf. schedule they will never compete for a national Championship. Throw in a Florida State or a Louisville for god sakes.

Maybe I should take that back, I see they are playing the Citadel and UNLV next year [X(]. That'll help get the respect we all want them to have nationally. [:'(]

There are two kinds of respect. 1) Preseason respect, 2) Season respect.

Wisconsin gets no preseason respect because the media thinks Wisconsin is above average at best. Happened this year. #2 comes with winning games - doesn't matter who you are or who you play - look at Rutgers. Everyone saw Wisconsin climb the polls all season long.

Wisconsin needs to garner that preseason respect before they do anything. Putting teams on your schedule doesn't do that - that belongs in the season category. Wisconsin needs to string together some seasons like '06 + recruit + return starters. Remember in 2000 when Wisconsin started at #4? They even had a 1st place AP vote that year - in the preseason.

i basically stated that like shit...i was saying that the big ten should play every conference teams...and if they want/need to play more games they can have some non conference games it would be 10 conference games, if we needed we could have a conference championship game to make it 11...or just throw in 2 non confernece games for 12 games plus their bowl game

I think some people lack the -10% motivation it takes to look things up.

9/1 - WSU
9/8 - @UNLV
9/15 - The Citadel

The Citadel and UNLV. Hmm...

The bright spot for Wisconsin's schedule is that Ohio State is now on the schedule. Too bad Troy Smith is gone, BUT Antonio Henton is a dual threat QB that could possibly and probably step in next season as a sophomore.

How come no ones talking about Washington State, the PAC-10 team the Badgers play next year??? I understand that's not a powerhouse, but they went 6-6 this year, are bowl eligible and a middle of the road BCS conference team. Also, in 2010 and 2012 is when the play Arizona State, with Oregon State in 2011.

Don't complain about UNLV and The Citadel, look at Florida this year...other than Florida State, who was a middle of the road ACC team this season, they played a D-1AA team, and Michigan played Vandy, Central Michigan, and Ball State other than Notre Dame. They have Pac-10 teams on the schedule coming up...so it's getting better.

Florida also has a grueling SEC schedule in which they finished with just 1 loss, plus an SEC title.

No one is talking about Washington State because all they have going for them is Alex Brink. it's good that the Badgers are scheduling BCS opponents now with Arizona State and Oregon State on the schedule. Neither are powerhouses, but are solid programs regardless.

Although, with ASU, its 50/50 whether by 2010 they are top of the heap, NC contenders or have so many NCAA infractions they can't compete... With Dennis Erickson coaching, its a roll of the dice. Already in the Arizona Republic some writer called ASU "Thug State" in honor of Erickson when he was at Miami...
The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

2008 is a pretty weak non-conference schedule for those of you who are talking about them.

We play Akron and Marshall at home and then @ Fresno State.
