D2:

Catholic Memorial 48
Wisconsin Lutheran 36

Wisco played too tentatively in the first half against Memorial's trap and got down by 13 at halftime. It was a 4 point game with about 3 minutes to go, but Wisco didn't score again until the last seconds of the game. Conor Smith only had 8 points for Memorial, but Butrym had a big game. Wisco only shot 24% for the game, which is not going to get it done.

Oh, and DB, I was at the North Division/Languages game too. Ug-lee.

It was Lifelong Learning, but yeah....On a side note, isn't the font used on LL's jersey's the most ghetto thing ever?...lol...You couldn't even read what it said unless you were up close.

You're right, I don't know why I typed Languages. But yeah, it took me forever to figure out what was on the back of their jerseys. At first I thought maybe it was their names, but then I saw that everyone's was the same. Definitely a "ghetto font"...lol.

It looked like graffiti font. It said "Wizards" on the back and "WCLL" and something else unintelligble on the front.

My upset special which is posted, was King over Pius and what a great game, great atmosphere and just a pleasure to have seen this battle. You could see the fire in King's eyes from the get-go. I was in the lobby when the teams came through and I just felt Pius was a little too sure of themselves. The King team walked in and marched right to their lockerrooms and got ready to do battle. The game could of gone either way but it was King's afternoon and they got the job done. I believe both teams left it all on the court but revenge is a funny thing and a lot of emotions were played out in this game right to when Coach Gosz took the ball and I thought it exploded at the seams when he threw it to the floor. We all know all the stories about the 2 teams but congratulations to both of them for a great season and unfortunately only one can keep going on the big journey. Pius will be back for another run and what a joy it will be to see how much better they will be next year after a full year together and the chemistry getting even better. Lights out Korie is a load to watch do his thing. Tyrone, shoot about 100 FT's a day and they will be easier to make when the game is on the line. You also, Tyrone, are a joy to watch do your thing. It will be fun to see if King can keep it going after this big emotional game, won't it???

It will, that sectional has come down to a mini-City Conference tournament.

Im glad that Gosz and King got what they worked for. As a former player on the 2003 State championship. I know first hand wat those 6am practices are like.
