Oak Creek at Mukwonago - Objectively, Mukwonago is the third-best team in this bracket and should prove that here against an overmatched Oak Creek squad.

Racine Case at Kenosha Indian Trail - KIT might be the best team in Kenosha this year, but they're a far cry from Ron Davie's Tremper squads or Jed Kennedy's beasts at Bradford. They should beat Case, a club that's happy just to be here, to set up a rematch with Franklin in Level 2.

Kenosha Bradford at Franklin - The biggest hurdle for the Sabers is maintaining their focus against Bradford and not looking ahead to a showdown at Inpro Field in Level 3. Had the FDL game gone the other way, these brackets might look very different but instead-- assuming Franklin navigates the Southeast Invitational side of this bracket cleanly-- we're looking at a real doozy in two weeks' time.

Oak Creek at Mukwonago - Oak Creek is a year away, I could probably say that every year though. Mukwonago really hurt their chances of a deep playoff run with that loss to West in Week 9. Although, according to Muskego coaches, the Indians were their toughest C8 opponent this year, so maybe, just maybe, they'll find what it takes.

Racine Case at Kenosha Indian Trail - I'm trying to figure out if playing back-to-back benefits Case or KIT. I'd really like to see Case get a W here, but I think it's a pretty big hill to climb. The Eagles have done a nice job stabilizing the program after years of being one of the worst in the area, and this is a nice reward. It still feels like their ceiling though, sadly. KIT should thank their lucky stars they got another SEC team (I guess MPS would have been tolerable as well), otherwise they're probably one-and-done. The SEC just wasn't good enough overall this year.

Kenosha Bradford at Franklin - If Bradford can keep these kids in the program (I noticed a sophomore starter who played a bit as a frosh was no longer listed on the roster Friday), they stand a decent chance for a top three finish the next two seasons. This season ends on Friday though as Franklin canniblaizes its own conference on its way to a showdown with Muskego.Curious to see if KB can keep it under a running clock.

Oak Creek at Mukwonago - I think Mukwonago wins this one going away.  The bigger question will be, can the Indians knock off Muskego in round 2?  I'm sure there will be some fireworks out west for that one!

Racine Case at Kenosha Indian Trail - Like DB, I too would like to see Case get a win here, but I just don't see it happening.  KIT has a respectable defense, they held Franklin to their lowest output of the year, and that will carry them here.

Kenosha Bradford at Franklin - The Sabers roll.  The real issue is whether they can keep their eye on what's in front of them without looking too far ahead to Muskego.  Franklin definitely has the easier road to rd 3, with Muskego likely having to go through Mukwonago again.  The goal until then has to be remain healthy.

Pretty straightforward here. Though I want to see Case pull off the upset against KIT here.
