Lakeland at Cudahy - This is actually a good barometer for this Cudahy program. They should be able to handle a middling GNC program. Lakeland isn't lacking for guys that can give teams troubles, but they are a team that often struggles when you hit them in the face. Can Cudahy conjure up a little old-time Packers football?

Antigo vs Amherst - Amherst is not quite Amherst of a few years ago, but this small-school program is still ahead of a lot of its larger "local" brethren.

Ashland at Shiocton - Ashland loses a lot, but Shiocton has fallen on hard times.

Rice Lake at Medford - Speed kills.

Wausau East at Merrill - The Lumberjacks may have a chance here as Merrill has fallen on some hard times.

Berlin at Mosinee - Shrugs.

Rhinelander at Prescott - The Hodags have some hope for this season and have a real good chance to get off on the right foot here.

Game of Note

Hurley at Turtle Lake - Quite a lot coming back for Turtle Lake, although it feels odd not to pick Hurley.

Lakeland at Cudahy: This one could really come down to a play or two to decide this. Lakeland has been really close to getting over the hump the last few years but have either faded down the stretch or had one winnable game go against them. Cudahy will test them but can they hold their own against physical teams. Hopefully Friday I get to a good game down in Cudahy compared to the last time I saw Lakeland in the Superior Dome against Marquette two years ago.

Antigo vs Amherst (at Waupaca): So Amherst's field isn't ready eh? Still really won't matter. Antigo has too many question marks to prevail here.

Ashland at Shiocton: I really want to pick Ashland but the loss of their game changer at QB will hurt big time. It wasn't that long ago that Shiocton would be battling Amherst for the CWC Large title.

Rice Lake at Medford: What DB said.....

Wausau East at Merrill: I can't really see Wausau East making a run at Merrill. They have to prove it Friday.

Berlin at Mosinee: Berlin is primed for a run at the East Central title.

Rhinelander at Prescott: There are some interesting pieces at Rhinelander, can they put them together to get out of the GNC basement this year?

Game of Note

Hurley at Turtle Lake: Hurley can't afford a slow start out of the gate considering their schedule is back loaded.
