I think it's going to be a pretty good week for the CWC-Large..

Sets up a Bonduel-Manawa rematch in Level 2..  Didn't see the first one, but playing them in back to back weeks the last 2 weeks, it should be a good one..  Have to lean Manawa's way in the rematch, not just because they won the first one, but because I think they have the tools on offense to put up some points on Bonduel..

Amherst is obviously Amherst..  maybe not as good as they have been in some years, but they are the class of the conference again, and look good to make a trip to the semifinals and find out where they might stack up at the top of next years conference against Stratford who I believe will meet and defeat Northwestern in the Group 1 finals..  kinda disappointed because I would go to that game if it wasn't at Northwestern..

WB -  I sometimes look through green and gold glasses, but I think they have proven the last 2 weeks they can play, just not always for 48 minutes..10 total minutes of bad football filled with mental mistakes led to 2 losses..  Very young at key positions on both sides of the ball, and not much depth, but there is talent there, and if they can put it together they can win a game or 2 in the playoffs..

When Holsey became the coach there I guaranteed to people in my hometown of Bonduel that if he was given time WB would at worst be respectable again. Maybe not Amherst level but they'd at least be competent and you wouldn't feel embarrassed to seeing WB play. A "win" was if they lined up right.  My guarantee was initially met with some skepticism but I had seen Holsey work with kids and how he effective he was at connecting with them.  I said then that if WB was patient with the process and if the kids bought in to what he was selling they would no longer be subjected to a running clock for 3/4 of the season.

I've seen it up close..   He connects with the kids in ways many coaches can't, and they love playing for him.  My kid is a freshman, and in his first year of playing for Coach Holsey..    Loves playing for him.  He loved football before, but Coach Holsey has helped him love the game even more!  Just need to get more kids out so they can love playing for him too and we aren't playing 8-9 kids 2 ways and nearly all the snaps!!

Bit of a tough night for CWC teams...particularly if you're Bonduel...
