Arrowhead at Catholic Memorial - CMH is in a bit of dire straits at the moment. Injuries have taken a bit of a toll, but they don't seem to have that same fire they've had in recent years. I still have people asking me how they lost to KM, and I still don't have an answer. D3 being what it is, CMH shouldn't be challenged until L4 at the earliest, but they still have to get there too. If this is "back" Arrowhead then apparently I lived in a different 90's and 2000s. The offense is pretty solid, but defensively they're not much to write home about. Considering that was Rauch's forte at Homestead, it's strange.

Waukesha South at Kettle Moraine - KM's struggles the last two weeks only belie the upset from two weeks ago. The Lasers shouldn't have much issue with the Blackshirts but any team that struggles to score can find themselves on upset alert.

Muskego at Mukwonago - This game is the one be at in the Classic 8, which means it'll either be a tight game or a blowout in favor of Muskego. The skids have been greased and Muskego is looking tough to stop. For their part Mukwonago has come off the loss to CMH firing on all cylinders and they're pretty good on both sides of the ball themselves.

Waukesha West at Oconomowoc - This is the most pedestrian West team for some time, but Blount at QB might be the biggest difference-maker in the conference. Give him time and he will slice-and-dice a defense apart. He really elevates that Wolverine team...too bad he doesn't have the same size as his brother. Cooney has been able to score a bit recently, but they cannot match what West has offensively.

Wauwatosa West at Waukesha North - North played well early, but could not get pressure on Blount and eventually capitulated after going down 10 in the third quarter last week as the Classic 8 Glass Ceiling basically remains impenetrable for them. Playoffs will be just out of reach for the Northstars again, sadly. That leaves this a bit of a "trap" game. North should win, but Tosa West has enough to make you worry, particularly if the Northstars don't come into the game sharp.

Arrowhead at CMH - IDK. I feel like both teams have been underwhelming for different reasons. I had not realized just how much enrollment CMH had been losing the past few years, but I digress. Arrowhead has been solid..... but they’re back? Not sure if I would go that far. I still like them here though.

Waukesha South at Kettle Moraine - I have been on record with this observation before, but it’s amazing to me how much KM has struggled to form any kind of offense while simultaneously having one of the more highly regarded OL prospects in recent years coming through their ranks. Just goes to show it’s a team sport... but I don’t foresee South knocking KM off despite the lack of punch the Lasers have.

Muskego at Mukwonago - Muk has played well of late... that much is certain. But Muskego? That slow start is ancient history. It’s looking like they’re well on the way to running away (pun intended) with the conference title.

Waukesha West at Oconomowoc - There’s some semblance of life in Cooney’s offense of late and given West seemingly lacks that bread and butter run game they’re known for this year, this could be intriguing for a bit.... but alas, I don’t believe Cooney has the chops to stop Blount from whipping their defense.

‘Tosa West at Waukesha North - Very interesting matchup. Both teams seem to be near the top of that second tier in their respective conferences and very well could win here.... but the Northstars have the advantage in skill position talent.

Games of Note

Whitefish Bay at Hartford - I swear..... if Hartford loses this game.....

Brookfield Central at Brookfield East - BC has to be missing that passing attack that took them to Madison two years in a row.

Bay Port at Ashwaubenon - I saw film on Bay Port from earlier this year.... they got a NT bigger than Gilbert “the Gravedigger” Brown.... and he’s pretty damn good.

Arrowhead at Catholic Memorial - Ouch. Just ouch. What sort of injuries does Memorial have? And while we're on it, how much did they miss Latham last week? I don't think anyone foresaw a 32-point butt-kicking, even Muskego. They're definitely perceived to be underperforming... while Arrowhead meanwhile sits at the exact same 4-2 record and is supposedly on the upswing. They need to win at Carroll for me to buy that.

Waukesha South at Kettle Moraine - I hear that KM can't score despite their 5-star OL because they're still running that Chip Kelly offense instead of just pounding the ball behind the kid. Is this true?

Muskego at Mukwonago - These are the matchups you love to see because Mukwonago has a chance to make a name for themselves. Can they stand up to Muskego in the trenches for four quarters? That's the only way you can upset these Warriors... and even then you need speed on the perimeter because they have that too.

Waukesha West at Oconomowoc - Big win for West here. It'll be interesting to see how far they can go as a pass-heavy team-- I have always felt that every week of working on timing and adding in new wrinkles really benefits teams with a good, experienced QB.

Wauwatosa West at Waukesha North - North has such talent at the offensive skills. I want to see them find a way into "the tournament" just to give those kids a chance to shine on a bigger stage before their prep career ends.

I know they've had guys in and out of the lineup the last several weeks. Only name I know is Sikma, who has a torn meniscus and is out until the playoffs.

Arrowhead at Catholic Memorial: I never seen Memorial get flat out dominated like they were against Muskego. 21-0 before even getting some rhythm on offense and getting a running clock hung on them to boot. Now watch Young pull out some pixie dust and they come back to make this pick look bad.

Waukesha South at Kettle Moraine: KM shouldn't have no problems scoring on South here.

Muskego at Mukwonago: Well that was total domination by Muskego last week. I think Muk puts up a fight here but Muskego should run away with this one too.

Waukesha West at Oconomowoc: West rolls along here.

Wauwatosa West at Waukesha North: Intriguing late season non-con. TW nearly had SE WI laugh at Falls Monday night. North found out that the gap between them and the top half of the league is still a bridge too far. I think North is favored but they are on upset alert here.
