Racine Horlick at Burlington - We'll get a better read on both these teams here but particularly Horlick, who may not have shown well in Week 1, but likely have the higher chance of a deep playoff run of these two squads.

Friday, 8/24

Woodstock North (IL) at Westosha Central - WC got the win here last year, but after the Week 1 performance, it's hard to see that happening again.

Kenosha Bradford at Lake Geneva Badger - LGB's Week 1 result makes you wonder about their ceiling this year, but every time they lose a ton of contributors they tend to grow new ones as the next season progresses. Not sure what to make of Bradford at this point...wouldn't be surprised to see multiple OTs again this week.

Waterford at Kenosha Indian Trail - KIT may be headed for a tough season. Hudson is a good team though. Waterford's offense gets out of the starting blocks this week.

Wilmot at Franklin - This was a barn-burner last year. While I don't think it will play out that way this year, it'll probably be a competitive affair. Both offenses seem to be works-in-progress.

Delavan-Darien/WB at Milwaukee North - We'll see if North has the numbers for this...ya never know with MPS this time of year. Impressed with how D-D/WB hung with defending state champ Lodi in Week 1.

Racine St. Catherine's at Union Grove - Honestly thought UG would do more against Greenfield. RSC came out guns ablazing. UG will provide a better litmus test than Cudahy, but RSC still wins comfortably here.

Lakeside Lutheran at Elkhorn - Elkhorn snuck out a win here last year, but I don't think we'll see the same this year.

Week Two Matchups

Thursday, 8/23

Racine Horlick at
Burlington - Good chance to get a better read on both teams. I think Horlick has a nice team this season. Anticipating a barnburner.

Friday, 8/24

Woodstock North (IL)
at Westosha Central - WC did win this game but I think giving them the props I did was premature. Don’t think they’ll pull off a win this year against North.

Kenosha Bradford at
Lake Geneva Badger - Still believe that LGB will get better as the year progresses, that wasn’t a particularly bad loss last week.

Waterford
at Kenosha Indian Trail - I get it  as a long trip and a dynamic QB they faced but I don’t think KIT is all that special. Franklin didn’t get going but they will this week.

Wilmot at
Franklin - I smell a classic. Both seem to be working out the kinks. I think Franklin is a tad stronger here.

Delavan-Darien/WB
at Milwaukee North - Interested to see what kind of numbers North produces. Credit due to D-D for last week. Expected much worse.

Racine St. Catherine's
at Union Grove - Better litmus test for RSC. They’re dynamic, no doubt, but Cudahy isn’t exactly a quality opponent. I do expect a closer game but RSC has superior talent here.

Lakeside Lutheran
at Elkhorn - Elkhorn is not dreadful but this Lakeside team has a real shot to knock off Lodi this year, and they’re senior laden. We’ll see what happens though.

Racine Horlick at Burlington: Better litmus test for both squads here. Horlick should pull away late.

Friday, 8/24

Woodstock North (IL) at Westosha Central: Not the result that WC had in mind last week against Case. Don't see them pulling this one out against Woodstock.

Kenosha Bradford at Lake Geneva Badger: Ground and pound again here this week. I see one or two OT's from this game.

Waterford at Kenosha Indian Trail: Waterford kept it respectable against Franklin. KIT got waxed by a traditionally good Hudson team.

Wilmot at Franklin: I see another slugfest akin to what last year's matchup was.

Delavan-Darien/WB at Milwaukee North: Will North have enough players for this one? Regardless, D-D gets a blowout win.

Racine St. Catherine's at Union Grove: Sloppy play here won't result in a W for the Broncos against a very strong RSC team.

Lakeside Lutheran at Elkhorn: Elkhorn kept it close against NBW last week. So they could steal this one again.
