Guys are already getting carted off the field. Sounds like Jake Ryan is gonna be done for the year.

Should I even bother with the NFL this year?

Certainly an ominous start, but injuries are a part of the NFL.

Former UW-Whitewater WR Jake Kumerow is turning heads in Packers  training camp:

Kumerow looked good in the game last nite.  The almost shocking thing was the players actually looked 'aggressive' in this pre-season game. Only one game, but I cant really recall Packer players looking aggressive for a long long time. Hopefully it is the new defensive CO. Looks like alot of choices for WR's - again only one game. Guys were getting open, but not always making the catches. One thing at a time, I guess. Tough game to analyse with so many 'regulars' sitting the game out.  The overall talent level certainly looks better. Thank god for Thompson leaving/stepping down/or what ever he did. He isnt going to be missed.

I think it may have been the 1 vs/ 1's practices.

I think the packers should give Oakland whatever they want for Mack.

Mack is one injury away from being Matthews who actually shows up to work .

that can be said about any nfl player. why draft anyone then if they are 1 injury away from not being able to play?

I think Oakland like Derek Carr's future more than Rodgers future...

Let's say the Packers could somehow put a package together to get Mack. Can the Pack salary cap function with another nearly $14 million going to a LB, in addition to Perry and Matthew's contracts?  Or do they flip Perry or Matthews into the trade.  I dont see how the Packers could swing this without either Perry or Matthews leaving.

Seems very odd that Oakland hasnt found a way to get this guy in by now. I and many see Oakland as having a very good shot at going a long way this season. Their defense still looked solid against the Pack, but the Packers played almost no starters in the game. It looks like his contract(or perhaps just what he wants) goes north of $65 Million guaranteed. As good as he is, are many teams going to even look at that kind of a contract for LB.

The Packers have dramatically overpaid Perry and Matthews has NOT earned his big contract the past 2 seasons. Do the Packers want to continue to pay huge money to LB's?  I would love to see Mack with the Packers, but with the Packer salary cap structured the way it is(players salaries), I just dont see how the Packers could work Mack in, unless the move Perry and/or Matthews. I think Matthews would be very hard for the Packers to move and I dont think he would bring Mack to the Packers. I doubt the Raiders would touch Perry and his contract with a 100 foot pole - the guy is just way way overpaid for how much he plays and what he does when on the field.

Hundley to Seahawks for 6th rounder:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000952060/article/packers-trade-qb-brett-hundley-to-seahawks

I guess that answers the question: Hundley or Kizer?
Kizer has upside and I am glad that the Packers are keeping Tim Boyle.

I like the return of a 6th rounder. He was picked in the 5th and I doubt anyone was going to give the Pack more.  I was thinking the same thing about Boyle. Something about the way he handles himself as a QB I like. He may not turn into anything, but Kizer will do more in the Packer system than Hundley ever would. Hundley may fit in another offense, he just didnt fit in the Packer offense. Kizer is also a much better total athlete.

Davon House to IR, Packers to sign Bashaud Breeland.

Weird actually signing a name guy who was available...so use to guys just getting promoted from the practice squad.

Davon House is only 29...figured he was about 33.
