Franklin at Muskego - The Franklin D was very stout against Mukwonago, although I think the Indians offense played into that specifically with slow-developing play-action pass plays and a QB with limited mobility. Wasn't overly impressed with Franklin's offense. They move the ball like a Franklin team, but a physical and fast defense like Muskego's should be able to slow them down. The key will be how much can Muskego get going on the ground. It may not be as much as usual, but I think enough chunk plays will be there to make the difference.

Waukesha West at Brookfield Central - West played the seeding game and held off this matchup until Level 3. BC's defense has really put the clamps on people all year and this will be no exception. This will be another low-scoring affair, but BC gets two late scores to win comfortably.

Mount Horeb/Barneveld at Catholic Memorial - Competition for CMH should step up a bit this week, but this is not the MH/B team of a few years ago. Crusaders should be able to slow Winston, and if they do that the game is won.

Franklin at Muskego - This feels like a game where "little things" like field position and even who gets the opening kickoff could make a big difference. Having seen more than enough of the Wing-T in my life I tend to agree with DB on one thing-- a talented, disciplined defense can shut it down, but that's the biggest question-- will Franklin be disciplined enough? Meanwhile, how does Franklin come out of the gates? If the Sabers' offense can start fast, that could make things very uncomfortable for a Muskego team heavily reliant on the run and play-action. Conversely, if the Warriors control the clock this becomes a long night for the Sabers. Conference strength says Muskego, but this is the point in the year where conference strength has become less important. Franklin has better balance. I'll take the Sabers by a nose.

Waukesha West at Brookfield Central - With better execution against a very good Marquette squad, BC would have come into this game undefeated. They may have one loss but this remains an up year for them with a shot at a state title, or at least a finals appearance. West, meanwhile, hasn't been quite up to their own lofty standards this year. The Wolverines will come to play and they won't be anything close to intimidated, but I just don't think they have quite enough to pull this off. I'll be honest, though: I hope they prove me wrong.

Mount Horeb/Barneveld at Catholic Memorial - Like I said above, I don't think conference strength is as important at this point-- good teams are good teams by now and you won't find a lot of posers at this level-- so you have to look past the C8 for why Memorial continues to win. And it comes down to size, speed, and strength. They have more of those things than their opponents do, on both sides of the ball.  MHB may have a great passing game but Memorial only loses this game if they make a bunch of uncharacteristic mistakes.

Franklin at Muskego: A rematch of last year's upset win for the Warriors. Could the Sabers return the favor here? I can't really see it happening unless Franklin puts a full game together on both sides of the ball.

Waukesha West at Brookfield Central: The Wolverines ended any hope of the Southern Lakes making a good showing in the playoffs this year.....ouch. BC shouldn't have much issue here.

Mount Horeb/Barneveld at Catholic Memorial: Probably the best game in the league this week and I still think CMH will pull away late.
