Thank you!
I think that a 3 way tie for PoY shows a quality in posters we haven't seen in a while.
Congrats to each of you!

Congrats to the 3 voted into the Hall!

Job well done amped0808!
Thank you.

I was going to ask the same thing in regards to dawgstyle and POY, unless DB changed his vote.....

I'm not one to make long posts, not because I don't like to, but mostly because this is gonna be talking about myself, and I don't really care for self-recognition, but I'll try my hand anyway.

I have been visiting WSN since 2009. I was just 14 at the time (some, not many, don't know that I'm actually one of the youngest regulars on this board) and randomly came across this brilliant site while searching Google for old information on Wisconsin Heights, where I attended school, hence, my username. In the approximately two years I perused WSN for scores and news, I actually had zero clue there was a message board with such quality. That was arguably my biggest mistake, missing out on a part of the heyday of this board, but nevertheless, it was still damn good when I joined in August of 2011.

I was never the biggest conversation starter, nor did I try to step on toes or piss people off with hot takes. I usually posted in agreement to people when I gave my two cents in the early days. Then, as I grew to know more people and expand my horizons from HS to other sports topics and the WCB, thats when my experience as a poster here grew.

From about late 2012 on to 2014, this place was THE PLACE for me. Posting scores, talking sports with all these amazing people, being there for them in spirit, and sometimes in real life, made me feel like I was a part of something oh so special here. I'd like to once again thank those who took time to be there for me when I had suffered some loss in the past few years.... which has drastically cut down on my time on this board. I've been distracted for many moons, but I'm sure as heck going to try to post more here becasue I can still see the quality here.

Thank you to all those that voted for me! Am I obligated to give a speech? Well, here goes nothing...

Let's start with ancient history. I began posting on wissports in 2003(ish). At that time, I was in high school, and spent as much time as possible on this forum before facebook, twitter, instragram, and other forms of social media existed. I went by many different monikers during that time - Red_Baron and KilLer_B are two that I recall. Now, I just laugh at those. I wanted to be anonymous then. Everytime someone found out who I was, I would create a new handle. As some point, I settled on crackerjack as the last moniker I would use, and now, I would rather people know who I am. I'd prefer to be as transparent as possible. I guess you could view that as symbolic of my transformation as a person.

It is amusing to look back on those days. I remember Travis looking for moderators for the conference boards. I messaged him several times because I wanted to be a moderator. Smartly, he paid no attention to my lobbying. I remember getting schooled in various arguments by fellow HoF posters who still post on here, and those that don't. I also recall when the HoF was first created, I so desperately wanted to be apart of it. Of course, I didn't post as much then as I do now.

As the years have gone by, my desperation waned, and I simply started posting. A lot has changed in that time, but what hasn't changed much is this site and this forum. As a result, my sports knowledge has increased thanks to all the knowledgeable posters, and my love for high school sports blossomed. I've gained a greater perspective on all things sports so thank you to each and every poster I've jousted with on here. I am honored and humbled by all those that voted for me to be a HoF member as well as poster of the year, neither of which I deserve. I'm just a guy posting his opinion, and occasionally supporting it with facts & logic.

Lastly, I need to take this opportunity and stage to clear up the biggest misconception about my wissports handle. It has absolutely nothing to do with the food commonly found at baseball stadiums. I don't even like the food crackerjacks! Alright, It's time end this boring speech as the newest member of the WSN Forum HoF by again, thanking those that voted for me. Thank you and God Bless!
