Very exciting game last night at Ridge. Questionable chants by the RR student section. If I was a player, that would have fired me up. Never heard a :Winning team" (points to RR) "Losing Team" (Points to Fennimore) before the game was over before. Just odd chants all together. Lots of Finding Nemo quotes, which actually made me chuckle.

Back to the game, despite going 4-13 from the line in OT, Fennimore still pulled it out by 5. Would not be surprised if they made it through the week either.

I remember taking in a game there 9 or 10 years ago and they had a interesting student section then as well.

Fennimore will at least make it to the Regional final game, where they have a great shot against a younger Seneca team.

I can't stand the dead silence during free throws. I remember in 1990-1992 not being able to even hear while shooting free throws when playing Mineral Point. I think everyone in the gym was screaming.

That's pretty funny and an interesting take. So it was silent during free throws last night? Apparently, it worked with those OT free throw percentages.

Did the RR student section have masks on last night?

I didn't see any masks, perhaps they did. But I know there is a little issue at the Fennimore school today because apparently some of the Fennimore students played in the River Ridge band, and then others who must be dating people from RR, sat in the RR student section, dressed like the RR student section and actively cheered against Fennimore. Lots of Sub-tweets about it today. Was very interesting to see. Not sure I would have allowed my child to do that.

As for the quietness during free throws, I don't understand the reasoning. Being loud is poor sportsmanship? Have they ever been to a college game before? Those are the BEST atmospheres to watch a basketball game. It brings the intensity up and I think the level of play goes up as well. When it is that quiet, you have too much time to think.

As for free throw percentages, we have not been good all year, so there is that.
