One thing I don't think anyone has mentioned here is that Kenosha Bradford is probably going to join a pretty cool club during the draft. Not too many high schools have two guys taken in the first round of the same draft. One, obviously, is Melvin Gordon. The other, in case you forgot during his time in college, is former Michigan State CB Trae Waynes.

I didn't forget .... every time a UW cornerback got burned the last 3 seasons, visions of Trae Waynes being a Badger danced thru my head !

I don't know this pertaining to Trae Waynes, but in the case of many other Wisconsin athletes ending up in East Lansing instead of Madison, over the years, the issue was academics ...

The Brewers will finish 90-72 and earn the #1 WC berth.

Carlos Gomez will have a 30/40 season (HR/SB) and win a 2nd Gold Glove en route to an All Star selection.

How there hasn't been more discussion here is beyond me---

Lesean McCoy traded to Bills for Kiko Alonso-A really nice trade for Philly. McCoy wasn't himself last year and they're selling high at the right time. With Sproles in the backfield and Gore likely landing in Philly, they'll have a nice 1-2 tandum w/o McCoy. They also shed McCoy's nasty cap number and add Alonso, a beastly linebacker which they desperately needed to add. They suddenly have a nice front 7 with Cox, Thornton, Graham, Kendricks, Barwin and Alonso. As for Buffalo, it's a splash move they're trying to make to make the jump into playoff-land. But they need help on the offensive line and it doesn't matter who you have at running back if you can't pass for 150+ yards a game.

-49ers to sign Torrey Smith-after Smith left a farewell Baltimore blog, the rumors are he'll land in San Fran. That's a really nice fit after SF couldn't pass farther than 15 yards downfield. Now they will get one of the best deep threats in the game who draws the most PI's 15+ yards downfield. Now who to throw to him....?

-49ers allegedly shopping Colin Kaepernick-for as big of a douche Kaep is, he's gotten a bad rap on the field. He's been through two defensive coaches and had a slow, plodding offense around him. It may be in the Niners best interest to trade him. Who would say no to a Nick Foles for Kaepernick trade? Foles is a stand in the pocket, bomb it down field type of quarterback they need in their offense, is younger and cheaper. And if anyone can make Kaep work, it's Chip Kelly.

-Eagles to sign Frank Gore-this is all Philly/SF dominated free agency thus far. A solid sign. Gore and Sproles is a nice 1-2 punch.

-Jeremy Maclin to sign with KC Chiefs-a really nice add. KC has made work with route running receivers in Donnie Avery and Dexter McCluster and have done well. Maclin will lose some big play ability because Alex Smith refuses to throw down field, but this should open them up a bit.

-Byron Maxwell to sign with Philly-upwards of $10 million in year 1 allegedly. That's a hefty price for a guy who may or may not have been helped by the surroundings of a dominant Seattle secondary. But it may be worth the risk for Philly who needs help badly in the secondary and other top corners either a) will re-sign with their own, or b) are temporary solutions at 32+ yrs old.

49ers undergoing some huge changes this offseason. Both Patrick Willis and Justin Smith are expected to retire. cameroncrazies already discussed a possible change at QB. If we're keeping track, that means they could possibly lose or have already lost Willis, Smith, Kaepernick, Harbaugh, Gore, Iupati, Crabtree, and Culliver in one offseason.

Trying to recap the big things that have happened so far today, let me know if I've missed anything:

- Seattle traded Max Unger and a first-round pick to New Orleans for Jimmy Graham and a fourth-round pick
- St. Louis traded Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for Nick Foles
- Baltimore traded Haloti Ngata to Detroit

The loss of one has clearly led to the loss of others. The 9ers front office overplayed their hand badly. See you guys in another 10 years.

Harbaugh will have Urban Meyer retired from OSU by 2020.

I realize it's Twitter, but there's some guy claiming Chicago is first in line for Kaepernick.

A Kaepernick-for-Cutler swap...now that would get the natives talking.

The Wells Report came down today. Basically the crux of it is this:

"It is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate effort to circumvent the rules." The report also states that it is probable Tom Brady "was at least generally aware of... the release of air from Patriots game balls?."

I'm interested to see what punishments, if any, are administered because of this.
