FIFA also sorely needs voting reform. Every country gets one vote, so Anguilla has the same voting power as Germany or Argentina. It gives way too much power to the African nations who were beholden to Blatter. That's what made him so hard to oust in a vote.

I find this whole story so absurd. Everything we are accusing the FIFA officials of doing happens on a daily basis here in the US at the state and federal levels. We call it lobbying but it is the same thing. Money changes hands in an effort to sway decisions about laws, expenditures, etc in order to benefit the people laying out the cash.
