Noteworthy: Marshfield LB Mitch Zillman who was a 1st-team All-Conference pick last season (2013) and was the #2-rated linebacker in the state by Wissports Network heading into this season, earned merely Honorable Mention recognition this season (2014). Not surprising considering Marshfield's porous defense gave up an average of more than 400 yards per game this season.

Last year Necedah's Matt Brown was 1st team DB, K, P and 2nd team RB. I believe Justin Sinz from Edgar may have been 3 or even 4 way 1st Team All-Conference.

Travis- Not disagreeing that Matt Brown was a great player?saw him play, great player. With that being said, being 1st Team on a offense and defensive position certainly puts you in select company.

Sinz is also a great player who was a scholarship kid to Purdue? Div 6 and Div 2 is a bit of a difference?

Regardless? all 3 players mentioned are great players

I think you'd see it more at the larger schools if less coaches didn't strickly adhere to 2-platooning.

The Stiever kid at Cedarburg has a chance at it (WR, DB, P), though I don't see him getting it at punter...though you could argue he's a first-team player at two positions on offense (WR, RB).

Is it really that uncommon? I know Somersets Tyler Lueck made 1st team 3 ways this year, foe TE, DL and P....

In some conferences players are only allowed to be 1st team one way.

That seems counter productive.....or is it part of the "Everyone gets a trophy" new way of thinking? The best is the best, plain and simple....

I know of at least one player that was 1st team four ways (O, D, P, K). Hasn't officially been announced yet.
