Further proof that the apocalypse is upon us:

Miley Cyrus finished 3rd in the readers' portion of the voting for Time Magazine's 2013 "Person of the Year"

Pope Francis I was named the award winner by the magazine while Egyptian General Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was at the top of the readers' poll. Other runner-ups included Bashar Assad, Edward Snowden, Edith Windsor & Ted Cruz.

While the Pope seems like a pretty chill dude, I was surprised that it isn't Snowden. Just from a geopolitical standpoint that I am not going to get into, he kinda rocked the world as a whistleblower. What he did is more likely to be remembered in the future than the Pope in my opinion

I'm not too concerned about it. Heck, I won that thing once a while back.

Ehh, it's not like people didn't have an inkling about what was going on....this just kind of blew the doors off it. I was thinking he might get it, but Francis seemed to be the safe pick.

Regarding the Pope, depending on how much he "changes" within the Church, long-term, I think he'd easily be more remembered than a guy ("whistleblower employee") whose name will be erased from history a la Gavrilo Princip (now known as a "Bosnian Serb Partisan") in about 50 years.
