Will be adding a "National Confidence" factor to the football pick 'ems this year. If you have participated in the WSN Bowl Pick 'Em pools, then you will figure that out, but if you're new to this essentially depending on how many matchups there are each week there will be a certain amount of points (I.E. 6 matchups = 1-6). The points signify how confidence in the selected team that week from 6 being the most confident and 1 being the toss up game. You can change things up in order to jump ahead of your opponents in the points standings. Make sure that you put your point value in (). No using numbers twice please.

All picks must be done by 7:00 PM of the first game.

Green Bay Preble at Ashwaubenon (3): Preble made the postseason last season before losing to Stevens Point in a thriller that went three overtimes. Ashwaubenon fell to the middle of the pack last season but still managed to make the postseason. I think that Preble gets the edge here. Hornets 28 Jaguars 14

Green Bay West at Green Bay East (1): A long storied rivalry which is one of the oldest in the country happens in week one this year. Both programs have seen some hard times over the last few years. West has not won since 2009 a streak of 35 games while East has struggled to make any progress upward for a few seasons now. I think West has a legit shot to end the streak here but East nuges them out. Red Devils 21 Wildcats 17

Friday, 8/23

De Pere at Bay Port (4): Both teams are coming off playoff seasons. For Bay Port they finished second to Southwest in the standings and won a playoff game before losing in level two. De Pere had a nice season but lost in the first round. Bay Port is one of the favorites in the FRCC again this season and they won't disapoint at home. Pirates 33 Redbirds 14

Green Bay Southwest at Manitowoc Lincoln (5): Southwest continued their strong run in the FRCC by wrapping up a undefeated conference crown and making it to the quarterfinals in D2. Lincoln found themselves on the outside looking in when it came playoff time last year. Southwest looks to be the favorite in the FRCC with Bay Port right on their tail. Lincoln makes a game of it early but Southwest pulls away late. Trojans 30 Ships 14

Pulaski at Sheboygan North (6): The Jed Kennedy era in Pulaski began with a .500 record and a trip to the postseason. They won their level one game before being eliminated in level two. North struggled again last season with their only win coming against Green Bay West. Pulaski proves to be rude guests in a rout. Red Raiders 45 Vikings 7

Green Bay Notre Dame at Sheboygan South (2): Notre Dame did not make the postseason after making it to the D3 Semifinals the year before. They should be improved this year as they take on a South team that also finished one game out of the playoffs last season as well. I feel the Tritons are the better team in this matchup here. I have not checked out this FRCC thread in a long time. Just did tonight and wanted to say I appreciate the time you took to post this.

I've given up posting here. Tried to generate interest last year but failed. Hopefully someone out there with young, fresh blood can inject some fan forum excitement for FRCC football. I'm not that guy....hey, I tried.

Also as the season winds down wanted to thank you for all your work/posts on the U.P. football site. Gotta love the hard workin', hard hittin' blue-collar kids up there! Hope you continue to contribute to the site-we appreciate your work.

Hope all the FRCC teams hit the weight room hard this off season & good luck to those in other sports.

(4) Green Bay West at Green Bay East - West is going to eventually win a game ... but not this week.
(3) De Pere at Bay Port
(2) Green Bay Notre Dame at Sheboygan South
(1) Green Bay Preble at Ashwaubenon

I'm not saying some things the WIAA does are wrong, ... I'm just saying, "I find it weird."

Considering all these games were played a year ago, I'm shocked you are getting some wrong!
