Jerel McNeal will make a team.

As for the foreign players. In these hard times with teams trying to get under the cap, teams are making foreign picks because a) they don't have the money to sign these guys to contracts and b) if they do make the team, it's unlikely they'll have a spot for them unless they cut another player who they have to pay that player they cut's salary anyway. You pick foreign guys to hope they polish their games because of their potential and in a few years can come to the NBA and make a difference.

This situation happened a few years ago when I think the Wizards drafted Juan Carlos Navarro. He was too small to play the 2, but didn't have a point guard mentality and couldn't defend either position when he was drafted. He was drafted in 2002 by the Wizards and in 2006-2007 season in Europe, showed a lot of potential. The Wizards then dealt him to the Grizzlies for a future 1st round draft pick where he was the 6th man for Memphis and earned 2nd team all-rookie honors averaging 11 points per game. He then was offered a huge contract in Europe and went back. So by the Wizards taking a flyer on the guy in the 2nd round years earlier, they earned themselves a 1st round pick.

I go to UW-Milwaukee. Marquette is a curse word around this area. Therefore I don't know anything about McNeal or Matthews.

What a joke, McNeal & Matthews have been big time players for 3 years in the Big East and don't even get drafted yet these stupid ***** from Europe get drafted and even undersized, unathletic pieces of garbage with no NBA future like Hansbrough and Blair get drafted. What a crock.
