Again - lets go through this diatribe point by point. I think I understand what is being said, despite the multitude of incorrectly spelled words and use of the wrong words (i.e. excepted/accepted).

1. You do not have to pay $17 to post to this forum. I don't pay a dime, but I seem to be able to post pretty well. Get your facts right.

2. Speaking of proof, tell me the firm that I can buy every Valley 8 game film from. I would like to have some and I know some others that would like films of games. (I don't think this firm exists because I am 99% certain that not all games have been taped (not film, they haven't used film in decades) in their entirity). You can PM me and I will look it up. If I am wrong on this I will state it publicly for all to see.

3. If you want to move Waupaca players up you need to move some players off the second team as well. You appear to be the only person who has watched every minute of every game in the Valley 8. Who would your A/C team be?

4. Waupaca had 6 players make some type of all-conference. I would say that is a pretty good testament to the success that Waupaca had.

5. If you had previous discussions, particularly in the POY thread, you will notice that there was discussion that Jenson's stats were down, and questions how he might be placed on the A/C teams. Had he slid down I don't that anyone would have been totally shocked, especially if another Waupaca player replaced him on 1st team.

In capitalism man exploits man, in communism it is just the opposite.

Oh so well said Ballfan. Im still wondering why someone from Hortonville would be posting such things. If you know so much about the game, how about you go coach those kids over there. They wanna win,and its not happening. So if you have a better solution go help them!!!!! Also,Ron Weber has probly forgotton more about the game than any of us will ever know!!! The proof is in the pudding,Rons career record speaks for itself. And it says good things to me.

The idea that anyone would waste approx. $17 to just trash some is a little absurd. I have better things to do with my money. I joined for several other reasons and the forums were not even on my list. Anyone can read the forums without joining, they just cannot participate. The point there is I have been on this site numerous time over last year. I thought this was a free flowing forum and not a term paper. The format I normally use would not be appropriate for forum.
One item that seems to have escaped everyone is that I trashed the Valley 8 coaches more harshly than Weber. Several other points, first although I referenced a college team I also referenced a high school team. There are several others that run a similiar offense and their guards have improve during the past two years. Second I did not trash Weber's Xs and Os. I question his teaching and insisting execution of his players techniques, which are quite different. Third, there are films of every Valley 8 game played this year. There are several individuals/place that (Green Bay) that for a price will sell DVDs of those games that you may be missing. Fourth and finally, I noticed that no one has taken the time to research films and prove me wrong. When ever one state something publicly they should be able to provide references to any one who wants to check these facts. I did, films. Check it out. The stats that are provide to vaious publications may not always be accurate. In fact this organization list the star athlete (girls) from Wild Rose with the best ppg average, but for many weeks did not list any other stat., she didn't rebound, have any steals and didn't even shoot free throws. Take a film use your eyes and prove me wrong.

The last point it was the Waupaca team that was short changed, although the players left out were the trigger point. Waupaca by winning the conference deserved more than two players in the top ten. I notice that a fellow by the name of Joakim Noah was dropped from 1st AC to 2nd team AC because his scoring was not as high as last years. I wonder if there would have been an outcry if that had happen to Jensen (his ppg dropped from last year). This is now history, as I am. Which brings to me to my opinion of coaches. The old saying is do not publicly complain about the organization while excepting their pay. I no longer work in the profession. You may notice that there are shelves of books with people who have written entire books about coaches and players who they have worked with in the past, both praising and trashing ( to use this forums word) them. For everyone's enlightenment here is how the voting is done....

A coach can nominate as many players as he wants.

Actually you are wrong on this point.... Coaches are allowed to nominate a set number of players based on where they finish in the standings.

The top 5 players are first team, the next 5 are second team, and anyone who received at least one vote makes HM.

Not entirely correct either.... Each caoch is allowed one "tack-on" vote to be given to a player they believe is deserving of HM even if they did not get a vote from the other coaches in the conference.

I got my information about how voting was done THIS year from a current coach, not what was done in the past.

Well my guess is that since this was the last year of the Valley 8, people didn't care if some of the by-laws were broken....... That would also explain how Waupaca was able to nominate 6 players, since typically, the 1st Place team (and ties) is eligible to nominate up to 5 players.
