Was surprised by field reports from WSSP at the Homestead game indicating that they didn't think Homestead would get out of their bracket citing Hale's ability to push around the Highlanders line on both sides of the ball. Homestead still wins, but not by the margin we're used to seeing. Marquette's gonna be a tough next one and if they get past them, Horlick or Park will be waiting.

Don't think the Milwaukee schools have seen much of the double wing, and Cedarburg gave them a big dose piling up 347 yards on the ground. Rank didn't need to pass much, but when he did, he connected. The only blemish was the int for a td. Waunakee's gonna be tough, but think the Dawgs have a real chance here for an upset.

Pewaukee's smash mouth style was too much for Bay's finesse game. Sherburne's 191 yards passing was respectable, but 83 on the ground ain't gonna get it done in the playoffs. If Bay can't replace Jimmy next year, look for the Dukes to be sitting at the bottom of the conference. Good luck to Sherburne at Princeton.

Port's D dominated from the get go. At one point, the Pirates stopped Plymouth at the one foot line on 4th down. The Panthers have a nice qb who runs a respectable spread piling up 256 yards, but couldn't get it in the red zone. In windy conditions, the Green Machine ran a balanced attack with 272 on the ground and 109 thru the air with sophomore Brisley looking good at fb. Next is West De Pere, and looking at it on paper a few days ago, it looked as if Port's season would end with this game, but considering Little Chute's ability to pile up 303 yards on West's D, the Pirates have a real good chance for an upset. The Phantoms haven't played too many teams with the talent of Port, and conditions look good on Saturday for Moeller and company to rack up some yards and points.
