The game was a bit closer than the score might indicate (five-point game at halftime...really should have been tied), but the Lancers' Sam Voss and Cory Degner knocked down a few three's in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs.

Rob Korslin was the main offensive weapon for BC, as his physical style of play allowed him to get open for some easy lay-ins, particularly when the Lancers were ice cold from the field in the early going and really needed some front-line production.

Jeff Barczak had a nice game for WAC as he was able to get some penetration which allows him to use his excellent moves down low. Jeff Meleski also continues to impress for WAC with his willingness to penetrate and his ability to hit from the outside.

Box score:

Brookfield Central: Cory Degner 17, Lee Severson 2, Rob Korslin 16, Eric Gordon 3, Brad Nortman 7, Sam Voss 8.

3-point FGs: 5 (Degner 2, Voss 2, Gordon 1).

West Allis Central: Paul Flemion 2, Adam Pfaller 4, Jeff Meleski 9, Nick Harris 2, Jeff Barczak 19.

3-point FGs: 1 (Barczak).

P.S. 'Twas bad luck for Doug Gordon (whom I believe reads these boards, unless there's another "dgordon" out there) of BC at halftime during the $250 shootout...but he is now the proud owner of a "Bulldog Basketball" t-shirt.[]

Wow, sounds like Brook East is the real deal. That kind of surprises me because I didn't expect them to be too good after what I've seen in the past. Does anybody know what happened at the game? Some info would be appreciated, thanks.

That BE score really suprises me. When you say BE is big, how tall are you talking? It should be a great game when BC and BE play in a few weeks

After watching MUHS play last week Im surprised that they could score 60 points in a game. Grez. is a great athlete but there's not much of anything around him. And to be honest Tosa isnt much better. I was real disappointed/surprised in the lack of athletes and top talent on these teams.

After that result, I'm a true believer in Sussex's home-court advantage.

There's something about that place that just rattles opposing teams.

Well I wasnt at the Hamilton-Marquette game but I got some info from somebody who was there. It was close up until halftime when Marquette just crashed the offensive boards. Too many second-chance points was a problem. They pressed the whole game which Hamilton actually handed well, but they need to get much tougher. Their bigs need to step it up to take some of the pressure off of the freshman. Also, Kameron is really the real deal, I hope all of you get a chance to see this kid play in the next 4 years. Good job to marquette on the win.
