D-4 Neillsville (5-1) blows out D-5 #3 WI Rapids Assumption (5-1), 49-33, last Friday night,  12/7.

However, in this week's poll, Neillsville is nowhere to be found in the D-4 Top-10 ..... yet Assumption is ranked #3 in D-5 ......  C'mon Coaches .... are you paying  attention ! ?

I realize it is just a coaches poll, but D3 wasn't very accurate in my opinion.
I don't see how a team that loses to the #1 in D5 can still be in the top five of D3. Black Hawk is an amazing team and could probably be competitive in D3, but a top five team in D3 like Platteville should be able to easily beat the #1 team in D5. It was only a three-point loss, however, so it could be justified by poor shooting, poor defense, etc. Also as I'm writing this, they just lost to D3 unranked Prairie du Chien, so I would expect Platteville to be unranked with two losses and PdC ranked being undefeated.
Amherst being at #3 or #4 makes sense to me because they lost to Laconia (currently #2 but was #3 before) in double OT.
Wisconsin Dells being #6 after a loss to unranked D2 Reedsburg is maybe a little too high. Neither team has played good D3 teams, so who knows how good they really are.
G-E-T being at #8 didn't make sense to me. I would argue their five-point loss to D4 #2 Melrose-Mindoro isn't nearly as bad as Platteville's three-point loss to Black Hawk as Mel-Min returned basically their entire team after a loss to Aquinas in the state final. I also don't get how Martin Luther skipped over them. They lost to D3 unranked Shoreland Lutheran anyway, so they will probably move back down or maybe unranked completely. I think Freedom could have jumped over G-E-T and have been justified as they had a very impressive win over (at the time) D2 #8 Luxemburg-Casco.

As for next week, I think it will turn out as follows barring any Saturday game upsets or late scores that haven't come in yet:
1. Marshall, 7-0, #1
2. Laconia, 8-0, #2
3. Wrightstown, 7-0, #3
4. Amherst, 6-1, #4
5. Wisconsin Dells, 6-1, #6
6. G-E-T, 6-1, #8
7. Freedom, 6-1, #9
8. Shoreland Lutheran, 6-1, UR
9. Prairie du Chien, 8-0, UR
10. Bloomer, 7-0, #10 (tie)
        HM: Kewaunee (7-0, #10 (tie)), Martin Luther (6-1, #7), Platteville (4-2, #5), Prescott (6-0), Valders (6-0), Berlin (8-1), Lodi (7-2), Sheboygan Falls (4-1)
This also assumes that Saturday games are counted in standings and Monday games are not. I'm too lazy to check for sure.

Wisconsin Dells, G-E-T, and Freedom all can make the case for the #5 spot. I think Shoreland Lutheran and PdC will jump over Bloomer to take #8 and #9 in either order. Bloomer will probably get more votes than Kewaunee after a nice win over Northwestern. All of the honorable mentions I have listed could potentially take #10 as well.

I've always posited that in girls' basketball the gap between top teams in each division isn't that great (heck, in some cases it's a lot closer than the gap from #1 to #10 in any said division). I've often thought we've had many D3-4-5 teams over the years that would have been very competitive in D1.
