I think some teams are going to get big awakenings when the actual season starts and people play with their regular coaches and full rosters.

Christ we beat Randolph my senior year when they had both Stiemsma and Tillema at a summer tournament down in Blair Taylor. They went on to win state that year and we won like 5 games.

MBC, you are full of negativity. You seem to think that the only good basketball being played in the northwestern part of wisconsin is in the MBC. Quit talking trash about another schools program, your's is nothing to brag about.

Of course, if an MBC team was winning tournaments i'm sure u'd have nothing but positive things to say.

I'm not just saying this because these schools are not in the MBC. Too much is made out of tournaments like this though because some of the better players don't even show up and they don't have their regular varsity coaches either. Durand won the Blair Taylor tournament last year against the likes of Cassville, Randolph, and Blair-Taylor and some guys on the team were getting big heads acting like they were going to do big things, but I knew that their win in that tournament was nothing to brag about because Randolph didn't have Ryan Tillema (or their regular varsity coach for that matter) and Blair-Taylor didn't have their other good guard (Nereng was there, but the other guy's name escapes me at the moment). So no, it's not me picking on them because they're not from the MBC. Regis and Augusta will both have really good teams this next year; I actually expect Regis to go to state this year and honestly I think the only thing that stood between Augusta and state last year were Ryan Foster from Eleva and had they won, TJ Nereng from Blair-Taylor. Cooincidently both of those guys graduated, so we'll see what happens.

I happen to know that Sheboygan Area Lutheran and North Fond Du Lac were pretty good teams last year but on the contrary, Heritage Christian and Iowa-Grant were not very good teams and did not even play in tough conferences. Lets concentrate on getting to state through a path that consists of teams like Pepin, Plum City, Eleva Strum, and Blair Taylor before getting too worked up about winning a summer tournament.
