St. Thomas (MN) has been a force in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) for an extended period of time. Now some of their rivals in the MIAC want to change some of the conference bylaws to expel them for being too good athletically.

The worst thing happened two days ago. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/division-iii-football-powerhouse-involuntarily-removed-from-conference-for-simply-being-too-good/

It disgusts me that this came to pass at the collegiate level. Normally I don't condone running up the score but I want to see a pole axing against St. Olaf for leading and bullying others to their cause.

The headlines of the articles are quite misleading , when you simply look at the data provided on the MIAC wiki you realize St Thomas has simply outgrown the conference in all aspects even with football eliminated from the data .

The data says they should be in the WIAC .

That's where I hope they end up.

However the schools that led the charge for UST's ouster are getting a lot of bad press about the way they went about it. They threatened some of the other schools that they (4 or 5 in total) would leave if UST wasn't removed thus taking away the automatic bid that the league has due to not having enough teams. The only schools that did not go with them were Bethel, College of St. Benedict (All Female school), and longtime rival St. John's.
