I know this part of the board isn’t all that popular but I thought I’d bring this up as it’s actually quite interesting.

Going into the last last set of Dual meets this year the SEC has a two horse race for the title with Racine Park and Oak Creek facing off next week with the conference title on the line with whoever wins that meet taking the title.

I don’t normally follow wrestling that much for HS but I thought it was interesting that this conference is actually producing a good conference race for once.

OC and Franklin are usually solid...and I know Horlick and Bradford have had the occasional state place-winner over the years, but it is interesting to see one of the Racine/Kenoshas making a move at the team level.

Haven't paid much attention over the few years, but has Park been building or is perhaps the rest of the conference down a bit? Or a combo of the two?

Park has been rising slowly over the years under Burdick, he has built a pretty good program from scratch basically. Park beat Franklin to start the season and their only defeat was to Bradford and they were missing a few top guys for that meet because of the flu from what I was told. I’m looking forward to seeing how the OC/RP meet goes. It’d be remarkable if RP wins as it’d be their first Conference title in quite awhile.

Perusing around, it seems OC got a big win at 195?

Big upset there. And then Park had a chance to win, they had to win the last 3 matches and they went 2/3

Drats!

Question, how many Park wrestlers also play football?

To put that into perspective let me tell you what it was when I left Park(2013) Back then maybe 2-3 guys did both. Nowadays, I’m going to say upwards of 7-8 if I had to take a guess at it. Not entirely sure though.
