Well football is winding down and i wana get a chance to get some input. I dont know if the conference will be solid or not? I know McFarland should be pretty good, and of course East Troy, but who else will make a difference in conference? Im guessing Clinton in the RVC south will still be pretty good, but im not too sure on the other south teams? I have heard Cory Frank of McFarland has made some nice strides and possibly become a scholarship player. McFarland has some talent with Frank,Washington,Doll and company. Any other teams that may suprise, or predict conference finishes*****
East Troy- 3 D1 talents on team, will be fun to watch size, and sniper like shooting this year.
McFarland-Have some solid athletes, but can they contend? If Doll,Frank, and Washington all have good games they will suprise ppl IMO.
Evansville-If Evansville and Albany co op for basketball they would get Albanys Isaiah Shell (anyone know for sure) that would help them alot on the perimeter.
Edgerton-Graduated couple key players, not sure bout their young guys coming up. Might be a really down year idk?
Jefferson-Graduated leading scorer that was all conference(Max McGown?Excuse spelling), decent underclassmen players from what i remember but are they developed yet?
Whitewater-Struggled most of the season and dont see much changing this year
**I dont know to much about the RVC South, if anyone wants to take a crack at preseason thoughts please do.
In the end, it would be great to see this conference get better and have some competitive games. I guess the RVC is more known for football, but hope to change all that starting this year![]

Clinton wins the south
Parkview will be much better
Turner well coached but lacking top talent
Brodhead very young will struggle
Big foot will struggle
Palmyra ditto
The south is way down Clinton heavy favorite the rest battling for second through sixth

Do you know if any RVC schools have youth programs for basketball? The key is to get kids playing early and often, and start loving the game. I know there are alot of 5-8th grade tournaments that alot of the bigger schools play in. Why dont RVC schools (excuse me if some do) play or have hoops programs? Ive been to a ton of youth tourneys and never seen any RVC schools ever except ET. Could it be interest, or possible economic problems? How do you have good athletes that can play football, but not hoops? Just curious if you or anyone knows, its just the competition level is not where its should be for D3 schools. I seen Parkview play last year and they were VERY well coached. Not much talent, but every kid hustled and was in the correct position everytime, making the heavy favorites teams job much harder. I thought the coach (forgot name) took the job in Lake Mills? Or was it Turners coach that left[huh] Anyways thats the first piece of the puzzle is to get a dedicated coach i think. I remember Whitewater had a good one, but he retired few years back.[&:]

I know when my son played. Here at parkview we played close to 50 games a year 4th through 8th grade . We were highly competitive and it carried over to high school. I think you need to have very dedicated and good coaches at that age.

Thats why Parkview had a good team including Nick Melton i remember. Do they still do that in Parkview though?
