Anyone else have the uneasy feeling that this one will be the final Badgers football victory of the season?

Can the offense put together 4-5 complete drives where they play Badger Football converting on 3rd downs?

Anything less is a disappointment.

Impressive first offensive drive.  Haven't seen that all year.

Followed by an expected weekly interception.  Eh.  This game is so boring.  Turning to Nebby vs OSU.  Martinez is going to torch UW for the next 2-3 years.

Sad showing for the first half of the game.  Hornibrook is un-benchable in spite of not being able to make D1 progressions/reads/throws.   Jim Leonhard and the "down" defense is doing a fine job and this perplexing offense continues to perplex.

After DB mentioned to not hop on the Mertz train to fast, I thought about it, and he was right.  We're stuck with Hornibrook as he is Paul Chryst's golden boy for the rest of the season and all next season.

FWIW, I thought Coan make some nice, decisive throws on the one drive they actually needed him on in the second half today. Glad they committed to the run game in the second half with AH out as Rutgers couldn't stop anyone carrying the football.

Defense was solid, but got burned a lot late by Rutgers RB and YAC. They pressured all day but incredibly failed to record a sack or to cause any turnovers (Rutgers QB came in with a 3/15 TD-to-INT ratio). That is a bad combo looking at what's coming down the pipeline.

Another never-in-doubt game with a decidedly meh performance...but hey, they're bowl-eligible! (Whoopty-freakin' do, it's not 1985 anymore)

I like the push the oline got in the second half. keeping the defense on the sidelines. churning out 1st downs. Keep running it till they stop it.

Hopefully they can do that for 4 quarters against PSU because that's the only way we have a chance at beating them.
