HAPPY to see UWL at #4. The team I get to see most weeks (uwrf) sadly in 8th again. UWRF has St Johns and St Thomas to open the season at home. good luck on that one.

West DePere alumni Jay Tollefson transferred from D2 Northern Michigan University to UW-Oshkosh. Kind of saw that coming following the U.P. Football boards. NMU was having QB issues and bringing in transfers. The QB who they eventually went with has a couple years eligibility left.

Meanwhile UWO had Wara who would graduate & the campus was a lot closer to home so it all made sense.

In NMU's recruiting class a couple years back that involved Tollefson, the Wildcats also recruited a QB from Escanaba who like Tollefson, also excelled in hockey and baseball. But this player was moved to WR and did pretty well his Frosh season.

Not 100% if Tollefson will be the starter at UWO, but we wish him the best and hope he does well! That was one memorable season for UWO last season and playing in the always tough WIAC it will be hard to repeat that.

Having quite a few of my buddies down at Platteville this year, there's a good chance I'll get to watch the Pioneers in action and I can't wait to see it.
