Hard to believe the playoffs are already here. Here are the matchups for tomorrow.

Argyle @ Randolph
Albany @ Juda
Princeton @ Monticello
Pecatonica @ Barneveld
Black Hawk @ CWC

Argyle has a rough one. I like Juda to win over Albany. Princeton has one very good player and scorer. I think the game with Princeton will be competitive, but they will come away with the W. I like Barneveld to defeat Pec. Lastly, I like BH to upset CWC. If they play solid, fundamental basketball like I have seen them play this year, I think they have a very good shot to advance to Friday.

Matt Sosinsky is a great all-around athlete for Princeton and shows it in basketball too. Monticello will have lots of trouble with him. But the game is in Monticello, which means an almost 3 hour bus ride for Princeton, which in my opinion, will give Monticello enough of an advantage to go home with a win. Also, if Monticello can just contain Sosinsky, they should have the advantage.

Randolph over Argyle by 50.

Barneveld over Pec by 15.

CWC will prove to be too big for the smaller Black Hawk team. With the game at the Crusader's home gym, the home "feeling" will have more effect due to playoffs and factors alot into games between close-to-even teams.

I will go with Juda on this one, but it will be close, maybe even the only overtime game for the Six Rivers East.

6 for 6 in the opening round... Should I claim my prize now or later? []

These first round games were not too much of a surprise. The Juda/Monticello game should be a good one and I'm not too sure about it. Monticello won both regular season games, but only by a combined score of 3. I'll go with Monticello winning again with another tight game.

Barneveld has a much easier road to a regional final game with Randolph with Oakfield somehow upsetting Fall Creek. I'll take them over CWC.

CAfter the 1st round of the playoffs we are down to 3 Six Rivers East teams. And you can wait to claim your prize until later. The games for round two are:

Juda @ Monticello
CWC @ Barneveld

Monticello has two wins over Juda, by a combined 3 points and including 1 OT game. Its difficult to beat a team 3 times in year so I will take Juda on a game winner by Trotter. Either way, it should be another great game and the winner will get a shot at Randolph.

CWC traveling to Barneveld should be an interesting game. CWC has the very good height and balanced scoring. If Barneveld comes out and plays tight, this game will be close. If they come out of the gates like they did the other night, they should handle CWC easily. I'll take Barneveld by 8 as I think they struggle early in this game knowing that this game will determine if they make sectionals.

Bit of an upset with CWC beating Barneveld. Not sure on the details of that game.

Monticello squeaks out a close one against Juda for the right to travel to Randolph. I'll take Randolph by 15 or more.

Sorry I missed the last couple games. Been busy...

Anyway, with all SRE team eliminated, the all conference team should come out soon. A few players I saw this year that I thought deserved recognition include:

Nechkash
Lee
Whitish
Feller
Shell
Trotter
Baughman
Jordan
Kolasch
Rupnow

I am sure there are some that I missed.

Congratulations to all teams and players on successful seasons and for those returning players, continue to work hard and improve.
