What an ugly game.  Pee-poor officiating on both sides of the ball.  2 or 3 poor calls that went against UW and a horrifically poor call against Penn St with a few seconds left in the game which cost them a chance to tie or go ahead in the game.  More & more I'm convinced UW is only a slightly better-than-average team.  Even though Penn St has been playing some very good basketball recently, Bucky has a tendency to play down to the level of its competition. The Badgers continue to struggle finishing at the rim, making free throws & committing stupid fouls & turnovers.  Even their best FT-shooters, Davison, Trice, Reuvers & Pritzl  have struggled at the line lately.  IMO, The Badgers leave at least 10-15 pts per game on the floor in the form of missed FT's & missed bunnie shots.

However, despite their problems & weaknesses, the Badgers have a shot at finishing in 4th place in the Big 10 and receiving a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament, should they close out the season by defeating Iowa at home & Ohio St on the road this week and Maryland were to lose to Michigan on Sunday, 3/4.

Stay tuned !

Michigan did it's part, Sunday, defeating Maryland (21-9 Overall, 12-7 Big Ten) 69-62, in College Park, Maryland.

Wisconsin's (20-9, 12-6) Big Ten Conference Tournament seeding  now rests in its own hands, with Iowa coming to town on Thursday night (3/7) and UW traveling to Columbus, OH on Sunday (3/10) to take on the Buckeyes.

Lots of hand wringing with some of the losses UW has had lately, and I've been on that band wagon, but the B1G has had some interesting results lately - Penn State over Maryland, Indiana over Michigan State, etc.
