There is no reason to believe that even the WIAA knows what will become of all the sports in the newly realigned conferences.
My guess is the Packerland will have to somehow combine with or schedule teams from the Central Lakeshore or perhaps the EVC.
The EWC and Packerland will be combining and Peshtigo will also be joining on the boys side (currently an independent).
I wouldn't be surprised if NEW joined the girls side as well as even though they didn't have a girls team last year it appears they're going to have one this year (we'll see if that actually happens once the season starts)
Here's an article
from the Door County Advocate. I've pasted the teams below.
PACKERLAND/EASTERN WISCONSIN CONFERENCE
Boys soccer ... Girls soccer
Sturgeon Bay ... Sturgeon Bay
Gibraltar/Sevastopol ... Gibraltar/Sevastopol
Kewaunee ... Kewaunee
Algoma ... Valders
Sheboygan Falls ... Sheboygan Falls
Kiel ... Kiel
Roncalli ... Roncalli
New Holstein ... New Holstein
Forget the bolded part. I guess they only had 5 girls show up on the 1st day of practice after 16 originally signed up to play so they're not having a team this year for the girls.
And Blade you're correct that soccer doesn't drive realignment but at least they figured out something so there's more than 4 or 5 teams in the conference.
