It always takes about 3 years to evaluate a draft class. So how do you re-draft?

I'll post player selected at that pick, followed by my re-draft pick.

2013-
Actual order- Re-draft
1-Anthony Bennett -Giannis Antetokounmpo
2-Victor Oladipo -CJ McCollum
3-Otto Porter -Rudy Gobert
4-Cody Zeller -Dennis Schroeder
5-Alex Len -Steven Adams
6-Nerlens Noel -Otto Porter
7-Ben McLemore -Victor Oladipo
8-Kentavious Caldwell-Pope -Nerlens Noel
9-Trey Burke -Tim Hardaway Jr
10-CJ McCollum -Alex Len
11-Michael Carter-Williams -Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
12-Steven Adams -Shabazz Muhammed
13-Kelly Olynyk -Kelly Olynyk
14-Shabazz Muhammed -Cody Zeller
15-Giannis Antetokounmpo -Allen Crabbe

Next few-Andre Roberson, Tony Snell, Gorgui Dieng, Mason Plumlee

Giannis naturally goes #1. The draft starts strong and tails off pretty hard. There are a number of guys getting their second chances on teams who could move way up like Hardaway, Noel, KCP and Olynyk. Crabbe is still waiting in the wings, as is Len.

2014-
Actual order- Re-draft
1-Andrew Wiggins -Nikola Jokic
2-Jabari Parker -Andrew Wiggins
3-Joel Embiid -Joel Embiid
4-Aaron Gordon -Jabari Parker
5-Dante Exum -Jusuf Nurkic
6-Marcus Smart -Dario Saric
7-Julius Randle -Elfrid Payton
8-Nik Stauskas -Jordan Clarkson
9-Noah Vonleh -Julius Randle
10-Elfrid Payton -Marcus Smart
11-Doug McDermott -Zach LaVine
12-Dario Saric -Rodney Hood
13-Zach LaVine -TJ Warren
14-TJ Warren -Aaron Gordon
15-Adrien Payne -Nik Stauskas

An incredibly weak class. Jokic jumps up from the 2nd round to be the #1 pick. Embiid and Parker are hard to grade due to injury, but are still so high based on depth. Mid to late lottery is a slew of role players.

I bumped this thread, because it seems like it changes so often.  That 2014 re-draft was in 2017 and wildly changed since.
       DRAFT         RE-DRAFT      RE-RE-DRAFT
1-Andrew Wiggins -Nikola Jokic      Nikola Jokic
2-Jabari Parker -Andrew Wiggins    Joel Embiid
3-Joel Embiid -Joel Embiid              Zach LaVine
4-Aaron Gordon -Jabari Parker       Marcus Smart
5-Dante Exum -Jusuf Nurkic            Andrew Wiggins
6-Marcus Smart -Dario Saric           Jusuf Nurkic
7-Julius Randle -Elfrid Payton         Clint Capela
8-Nik Stauskas -Jordan Clarkson    Spencer Dinwiddie
9-Noah Vonleh -Julius Randle          Bogdan Bogdanovic
10-Elfrid Payton -Marcus Smart       Aaron Gordon
11-Doug McDermott -Zach LaVine   TJ Warren
12-Dario Saric -Rodney Hood          Gary Harris
13-Zach LaVine -TJ Warren             Julius Randle
14-TJ Warren -Aaron Gordon           Jabari Parker
15-Adrien Payne -Nik Stauskas        Maxi Kleber

It's pretty wild how this changed from 2014, to 2017, to 2020.  Some of the opposition comes from situation and contract.  If Wiggins was on 1/2 the contract he is, would he be ranked higher?  If Aaron Gordon would have been a better team, would he be higher?

2018 NBA Re-Draft
1-DeAndre Ayton             Luka Doncic
2-Marvin Bagley              Trae Young
3-Luka Doncic                 Jaren Jackson Jr
4-Jaren Jackson Jr          Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
5-Trae Young                   Michael Porter Jr
6-Mo Bamba                    DeAndre Ayton
7-Wendell Carter             Wendell Carter
8-Collin Sexton                Marvin Bagley
9-Kevin Knox                   Devonte Graham
10-Mikal Bridges              Collin Sexton
11-Shai Gilgeous-Alexander    Miles Bridges
12-Miles Bridges              Mo Bamba
13-Jerome Robinson        Mikal Bridges
14-Michael Porter Jr         Donte Divincenzo
15-Troy Brown                   Kevin Huerter

The obvious oversight here was Doncic, but it seemed obvious on draft night too.  I'm significantly lower on Ayton than most, I don't know exactly what it is that he'll supremely excel at that makes him worth what he'll eventually be paid.  And Porter Jr's rank is a little early, but if he can stay healthy, he could shoot up this board to near the top.
