Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh doubled down Monday on his post-game comments from Saturday aimed at Michigan State head Coach Mike Dantonio:

"On Monday, Michigan's football coach once again called Michigan State 'bush league' for a pregame scuffle between the entire MSU team and a handful of Michigan players — and went as far as accusing the Spartans, led by coach Mark Dantonio, of deliberately baiting Michigan into the situation."

"On Sunday, speaking with reporters, Dantonio described the situation as 'juvenile.'

'As far as everything prior to the game, you know, really not going to even bother commenting on it. I’ve never commented on a coach in the past, and I’m not gonna comment on one now,' Dantonio said. 'And the whole thing to me was sort of juvenile. And things are gonna happen in rivalry games, but I sort of stand by what I said (Saturday).' "

They need to bring back Celebrity Deathmatch on MTV just for these two.

For the life of me, I could NEVER imagine a UW player doing what Bush did to the Michy St. logo... However, I didn't see exactly what provoked Bush.

Needless to say, I won't lose a bit of sleep if Michy loses down the stretch and misses a big opportunity like they're oh-so good at. 😂

This leads me to another point... Assuming UW make the CCG, do we rather play a OSU team that has shown a multitude of weaknesses, or a UM team that we already saw this season...?  Interesting hypotheticals as this season plays out.

MSU's pre-game arm-in-arm march down the field, I guess.

Some of the times and such are a little disputed but it basically goes like this.

Michigan players were advised the pregame arm and arm walk would take place at 10am.

Michigan St was running late in their gameday routine and didn't get to the field until 10:15ish.

Michigan players Devin Bush, Levert Hill, and 1 other that escapes me had already taken the field and began stretching.

A game of chicken ensued as the march began and the Michigan players didn't move.

It is disputed if they were asked to move.

Eventually the line reached the players and the line of marchers preceded to "red rover" them.  Hill's headphones were knocked off his head and bush was "clotheslined."

Bush got pissed at this and did what he did.

My only issue with the entire thing is that Harbaugh called out Dantonio for not doing anything about it when he was walking 5 yards behind the players when it happened.  Dantonio said that was B.S. because he wasn't behind the players.  Video was then released showing him right behind the line smiling at the fight.  Then Dantonio said he was no longer going to talk about it.

This is one of the most bitter rivalries in college football.  Michigan and Ohio St is a huge deal, but there is at least mutual respect there.  Michigan, Michigan St is pure hatred.  In 2010ish Gholston sacked Denard and basically grabbed his head and twisted it after trying to injure him.  I believe the year after Taylor Lewan retaliated by grabbing Gholston by the throat.  (I could have the players wrong in the 2nd one.)  It's ugly man.  These guys have no respect for each other.

Harbaugh will have Urban Meyer retired from OSU by 2020.
