Don't you think it's pathetic when the Brewers/Cubs series takes place they deem that a "Marquee Game", and therefore...jack up the ticket price?
Sorta like how they jack up flower prices on Mother's Day. It's all about the mighty dollar.

As a season ticket holder I got mine for the same price as all of my other games. Plus, I could buy any of the marquee games that I wanted for regular price. Guess that's an advantage. But still, if you wanted to see a game, go another night when it is not a marquee.

actually, us brewer's fans are very lucky. a lot of baseball teams this year jacked up the prices for all of their tickets for every game. the brewers decided that really wasnt fair to do that to the fans the whole year and only designated specified games in which they would increase the ticket prices. those games being the ones that would attract the most fans and media, hence calling them "marquee games".

I think it's smart. Especially last time, seeing all those Cubs fans pay up, then get swept. Hopefully we can take 3 this time around, and put up 10 runs on Zambrano.

in total agreement there. Seeing them get swept by the Yankees this weekend and leaving Yankee stadium in shambles was awesome. []

Us Brewers fans are lucky. It's just for games against the Cubs and Yanks. Almost every team in the majors does this, but for a lot more games. And theyve been doing it. Look at the Cubs for example. You could go see them play the Rockies one day and pay $50 for the best seat in the house but go the next day to see the White Sox and pay $250 for that same seat. We have what? a $3-$7 raise in tickets for 13 games....Be thankful for what we got....and very affordable tickets for every game. Most other clubs cant say that...

I don't know about Mother's Day but I for sure know about Valentines Day. The price of roses at least doubles.

I hate to tell you but almost every club does this. Ever tried to get Yankee/Red Sox tickets? It is a good move by the organization because they are increasing revenue. They should kick up the beer prices too for everyone wearing Cub's apparel. The less drunk Cub fans tere are the better. And I am totally serious with that comment. If you've never been there to a game then you will have no idea what I mean. But add alcohol to a beligerent Cub fan and you get, well, and even more beligerent Cub fan.

It just seems unfair because it's the LOYAL fans who always get the shaft. I don't neccesarily disagree with raising beer prices but it's hard enough for a family to go to a game without spending the family fortune. Call me traditional I guess but you shouldn't have to mortgage the house to see a pro baseball game. (They almost lost me for good in '94!!)

I am struggling to find a reason why that was awesome. Whenever the Yankees sweep someone it ruins my week of baseball. Hoping the yankees win and saying it is awesome would be like cheering for Bill Gates to win the powerball and then cheer about it.

Well the Brewers torched Zambrano for 8 runs in an inning and 2/3rds and then Dusty pulled the plug on his night. I hope gk11 is watching this tonight [] Miserable day for Chicago.......the boys on Around the Horn today said Chicago fans were overrated as being good sports fans.

i am glad they milked every cent they could out of the cub fans...its pathetic that the brewers can't get more fans there than the cubs had
