The Bucks have fired Jason Kidd and replaced him with Ass't Coach Joe Prunty.  No indications that this will be for the remainder of the season or until a replacement can be found.  It should be a very highly sought after job.

Apparently though things are kind of sticky now as Kidd found out by reading the report on ESPN.  Giannis is not thrilled with the move as one would expect.

Giannis will learn that once you consistently get deep into the playoffs, then you can use your superstar veto to control personnel moves. He wasn't ever going to get there as a Buck with Kidd.

Also wouldn't be shocked to learn the "Kidd found out from ESPN story" was leaked by the Kidd camp.

Is there any rationale  for  this?
It kinda game out of left field.
I know it' been building, but what was the last straw?

My concern is Giannis' minutes every night, now he evidently has some knee issues.

But, I don't really know what put this over the top.

Deep down, I think it's a combination of a few things...strained relationships with certain players, rising discontent in the fanbase (boo-birds were raining down everytime Kidd was introduced at the BC recently), clear underachievement to goals set by Kidd himself pre-season, his odd post-games pressers where the blame was placed everywhere but on himself.

I think the straw that broke the camels back was getting worked badly twice in a week by a lesser talented but far superior coached Heat team.

Realistically, he never should have been hired in the first place after his Brooklyn tenure.
