Im going golfing tomorrow with my Dad and I wanted to go to a different golf course than we usually do. We live in Mayville and I would like it to be less than an hour away. Any suggestions?

I was thinking Washington County Golf Course, Lakseshore Municpal (oshkosh), Old Hickory, Rolling Meadows, or Fox Lake Golf course.

Anyone ever been to these? The only 2 I have been to are Washington County and Rolling Meadows.

I grew up in Beaver Dam and have played both Old Hick and Fox Lake. Fox Lake is a nice quaint nine hole course but very narrow. Not a bad deal for the price. Old Hickory is a wonderful course and very much worth the price of the green's fees. You might also want to check out the Beaver Dam Counrty Club (formally Sunset Hills), that is also a nice course.
Without officials, it would just be recess!

What was your decision? I would have done either Washington County or Lawsonia in Green Lake.
Knowledge is good.

We didnt go because the shitty weather but today we are just going to Mayville. Kind of disappointed. I looked into Lawsonia because I golfed there for conference championship last year in High School but its 90 dollars for one person...too expensive.

So far this year i have been to Deer Track, Windwood of Watertown and St. Johns in Delifield. Deer Track is always a decent course at a decent price. I usually go there at least 5-6 times a year because its a mid level course condition wise and is priced right. Windwood is also a decent course and run a lot of deals (the one i used was $20 off 18 holes when you have 2 people, each get 20 off) St Johns is nothing special course wise, it is pretty short but in ok condition but its extremely cheap. Its $12 for 9 holes walking. Can't beat that.

I played Antigo Bass Lake the other day. As always, it is in beautiful shape.

Sorry your weather was bad. Here's a suggestion that wouldn't be much of a haul for you: Fire Ridge in Grafton. Just jump on 33 East to Saukville then head south on 57 about two miles. Good track. Always in good condition.

Planning on going to Rolling Hills after work tomorrow with some friends. Its in Oconomowoc and used to be a private course. Looking forward to playing a better course for once.

If anybody looks for places to play in the eau claire/la crosse area, I recomend Wild Ridge, very nice play, lots of elevation, nice green complexes, fairways are wide but it's rather long and challenging for the average golfer (as in someone who likes to play and spends a decent amount of time on the game. If you play once a month and are just recreational all the way, then the course might be a bit much and you might not have as good of a time).
Turtleback up in rice lake was a good experience for the price

For my graduation gift, my girlfriend got me free 18 holes at Peninsula State Park in Door County. One of the best and most fun courses ive ever been to! The 69 yard par 3 on the front 9 is very fun! Then hole #17 is also very fun!

I've never played it but plan to in the next couple weeks. Has anyone played Horseshoe Bay?
