Might as well just put up all games where Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan or Wisconsin play each other.
This guys list seems to show he has a boner for Ohio State and Michigan. ALL the other games involving those 5 teams playing each other are just as important.

With Michigan parting ways with Tim Drevno last week it will be interesting to see what changes offensively they make. Pep Hamilton is the passing game coordinator. Drevno was the run game coordinator and offensive line coach.  He was replaced by Ed Warnnier who will coach Michigan's underwhelming offensive line.

Warnnier  Minnesota's offensive line coach in 2017.  Warnnier spent 2012 through 2016 at Ohio state coaching offensive line, Tight ends and serving at co-offensive coordinator 2012-2014.  Warnnier served as run game coordinator/offensive line coach at Illinois 2005 and 2006.  He served in the same capacity at Norte Dame 2010 and 2011.

Michigan also hired former Florida head coach Jim  McElwain.  He will coach WR and make $300,000 along with the $7.5 million Florida paid  him in a buyout.  Michigan should have must have cash to pay McElwain that kind on money. Oregon State hired Mike Reily only 50 K to coach tight ends.  Reily makes $175,000 a month off of Nebraska until the 6.63 million owed him is paid off.

I'm curious to see who becomes the OC.  The information coming out says that Michigan looked around to find Drevno a spot to land and no one was interested in him.  It seems like Harbaugh realizes his offense needs a big change and is willing to make big changes. I don't think they will do a running game coord/passing game coord going forward.  I would be surprised to see McElwain become the full OC and coach WRs.  it is a little funny that they hired him after all the bad blood that occurred between him and the Michigan fan base after last years opening game.

Harbaugh will have Urban Meyer retired from OSU by 2020.

What I find interesting is Dough Nussmeier who was the OC/QB at Michigan in 2014 was the OC/QB Coach under McElwain and the Florida offense during the Nussmeier/McEwain  era was significantly different than what Michigan or at least what Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh says he wants to run.   I know Michigan had an early enrolled kid who was a very mobile, drop back passer who did not fit the mold of the current Michigan QBs.

Agreed, though McElwain ran pretty much what Harbaugh wants to run when he was the OC at Bama and largely what he ran as the HC at Colorado State.  He failed miserably when he went away from all that at Florida.

Under the new NCAA football redshirt rule,  players will be allowed to appear in as many as four games, and there’s no restriction on what part of the season those appearances are made.

Urban Meyer put on leave following allegations he knew about repeated domestic abuse reports made by the wife of a former assistant back in 2015.

Dawgstyle's signature might come partially true, but not because of anything Harbaugh did, just another head coach falling on his sword. 😎

It should be noted (per the above link) that Urban Meyer was in favor of and cooperated with the idea of an administrative leave.  If for no other reason than to not be a distraction as his Buckeyes ready themselves for the 2018 season.

This situation may very well come down to "what did Meyer know (if anything) ... and when did he know it" ...

One thing is quite clear:  Meyer's wife, Shelley, was in the loop on the domestic problems (including assaults) of Meyer's assistant coach Zach Smith and his spouse as recent as 2015.  Allegedly, Smith's wife had agreed to allow and encouraged Meyer's wife to inform Urban of the physical assaults.  The question now becomes whether or not Shelley Meyer followed thru and informed Urban of the Smith's problems & allegations.

Unless I missed it, there were NO police reports made. This makes me wonder why there werent?  People can say that Meyer's wife was required to tell Urban, but that is simply not true.  One can get themselves in a ton of trouble when they involve themselves in something where the primary doesnt involve the police/authorities.  The 2009 account/problem doesnt appear to be in play anymore. The woman didnt make a police report to my knowledge(could be wrong on that and if I am - Urban should have fired that assistant at that time - I dont think that was the case though).  Meyer's wife working for the University seems to not be relevant legally. I may be wrong on that.

One has to be careful to 'cover' themselves(for lack of a better word/words). I was once aware of an embezzlement case in our local Lions club. I was the president and this all predated me even being in the club. Apparently it was common knowledge among the members, but no one would bring it up and put the treasurer on the spot. An employee of mine brought it up to me as her husband was a 'charter member' of the Lion's club as was this treasurer. It put me in an extremely awkward spot. To say I was pissed that the members had let it go for more than 15 years really got my goat. The village president, school superintendent, 2 principles, several teachers, several business people and others knew of this for years. The guy in question was the ONLY treasurer since the beginning of the club(when I was in 2nd grade). The treasurer was a teacher of mine in grade school and had a small grocery store right next to my dental practice. I had NO knowledge of what had been going on over the years. When the board members came to me(outside of a board meeting executive session - which is a bit iffy too), they wanted me to TAKE CARE OF IT and get the guy out. This had been going on for over 15 years. It put me in a tremendously precarious spot. I called my attorney and he actually told me to 'drop out'. I told him I could not do that as I had very solid evidence(word of mouth) that this was true. Members were also on my butt and I had a flourishing dental practice at the time. Not the right time to say 'I quit'.  I did have some legal coverage via the Lion's international, but I had no idea if this guy(the treasurer) would make a federal case out of it. I decided to approach him individually and discuss it as friends/businessmen. We talked - he denied. I told him the board of directors was going to/wanted to throw him out of the club. He immediately told me he would SUE for slander. I told him that I personally had NO evidence(and I was just trying to facilitate a decent outcome) and was going to him as a friend(that is a bit of a stretch cause he wasnt really a friend). I told him I preferred to work this out without 'hurting' his name and business. The guy was my phy ed teacher from 1st grade thru 8th grade. He started his small grocery store the same year I started my dental practice. We were probably more like 'acquaintances' than we were friends. He was my teacher for 8 years.  My employee and her husband(who was the secretary of the club for years), both apparently knew about it, yet did nothing to inform the general membership. Those members pushing to get him out really torqued my butt as they knew this was going on for years.   Long story short - others that were his actual friends came out and talked with the guy and his wife(they all went to the same church and actually were friends). He said he would give up the treasurer post and the board of directors spot, but wasnt going to drop out. We as a club went with that. As it happened, the guy didnt pay his dues in the fall and was dropped from the club. There was alot of treading 'lightly' going on. I actually had 2 other attorneys plus my own attorney on call for myself.

The real story never came out the way it should have for many reasons - no real records were there to prove what he did - no one would go on record - etc. In today's world - things are much different(this was 1985 when this happened).  My employee's husband was a member, but I didnt want to put him on the spot. Why she told me is still mystifying to me, but she did.  I was told that 2nd person information can be very problematic in court, plus I didnt want to put her and her husband on the spot.

For Urban Meyer - I dont think we know all the facts. The fact that Urban Meyer's wife worked for Ohio State may not be a factor in Urban Meyer's responsibility  either - that I dont know. The wife of the assistant coach apparently told her - I dont know what her(Urban's wife) obligations were.

Only thing I learned from this is to NEVER be a member/officer of ANY organization; be it political, fund raising for things(health care/sports/etc), service organizations, church/religion, benevolent, etc.  believe me - you cant trust ANYONE today.

I even went so far as to ONLY give money to organizations as cash, with NO publication that it was dontated by me or my dental practice. I still get the 'willies' to this day when I think about the Lion's situation.

Years later I had a dental assistant that was getting beat/harrassed by her husband and she came to me. I told her to go to the police/sheriff and I called and told her father who was a good friend of mine. That worked out, but I think I put my butt on the line even doing that.

Dont know how this Urban Meyer situation works out, but there will be people that cant win EITHER way they go. That is real life. It always looks real easy to make the call from the outside, but when you have been thru situations like that - it is much much different. I am not 'pulling' for anyone - I just hope the real truth comes out and the punishment fits the crime. Today, it seems like there is too much over reaction; rather than just handling the ACTUAL situation. There is actually no need to put forth a PRECEDENT - the law is the law and Ohio State has there own rules and regulations. All they need to do is follow them. I do think the 2009 incident is NOT a part of this anymore.

I have found since this situation occurred that many people have 'all the answers', yet they never sat in my shoes or others who sat in similar shoes. It becomes quite precarious and when one has a business in a small town, it can be a 'killler'. People shouldnt be so fast to indict or so fast to clear someone.  Meyer stepping aside was the best he could do for himself and for Ohio State. How it turns out, we may never know as some type of 'arrangement' will most likely happen, as occurred in my situation.

I donate tons and tons of money to the schools, fire dept's, civic organizations, softball leagues, scholarships, etc etc etc. I just never let them use my name or my business name and I didnt deduct them for tax reasons. I was NEVER going to let that happen again. I did drop out of the Lion's club AFTER I got this straightened out. The club lost about 1/2 of it's membership as you cant satisfy everyone.

#4 Ohio St  27
at #8 Penn St  26

Final Score

I was certain OSU had scored too soon with 2 minutes remaining in the game.  With that said, I do not understand the Penn St play call on 4th & 5 on their final possession.

Also, the 1st down awarded OSU running back JK Dobbins in the 3rd quarter which kept a go-ahead scoring drive alive was total b.s. (including the replay).  Dobbins was, at minimum, a half yard short of the 1st down.

BYU and Duke both get pummeled, suspect that will be the last of them sniffing the top 25. Clemson, Michigan and Ohio State all eke out wins.

Well we learned last night that OSU and PSU are both beatable.  If last years defense had faced Haskins, I would say we'd match up well enough to beat them.  Our front would've been able to pressure Haskins all day, and clearly that's his weakness.  PSU on the other hand, while their defense played extremely well for 3 quarters, wouldn't be able to match our physicality running the ball, and I think a gameplan of run until they could stop it would work against PSU.

The one worry I have about OSU winning last night is now they easily control their destiny, and if UW makes it to the B1G CCG, we will inevitably play them with not only Chase Young, but also Joey Bosa ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜¬.    Either way, McSorely is gonna carve up our defense and if we end up playing OSU, Haskins will pick us apart if we don't get pressure.
