It makes sense to do this to reduce the amount of travel schools have to do. The bad part is you lose some of the better rivalries by only getting to play some teams only one time.
Is there any truth to the rumor that Solon Springs wants out of the conference to join the Lakeland to reduce travel even more?
In the current set up, teams play teams in their own division twice and the other division once, therefore only traveling every other year to each of the distance reaches.
I have also heard that Solon Springs has interest in joining the Lakeland. Not sure if that will happen as the Indianhead seems set and the Lakeland, with seven teams in each of three divisions, seems set as well.
