Columbus' most glaring weakness is their propensity for turnovers as a result of sloppy ball-handling.  If the Dons took better care of the ball they would really be a force.  They distribute the ball well, shoot the ball well and rebound well on both ends of the court.  Columbus out-rebounded Bangor today, 54-39.  6'4" Bryce Fuehrlinger rebounds as if he's 6'7".  Extremely long arms on that boy.

Bangor's Grant Manke is a man among boys ...

IMO, if Marshfiield Columbus plays tomorrow vs Sheboygan Lutheran like they did today vs Bangor, minus the plethora of turnovers, and finishes better at the rim,  they have a reasonable chance of defeating the Crusaders.

9:24 left, 1st half

Hot start from Sheboygan Lutheran, particularly Barnstable and Ognacevic, but Columbus has found one of their good runs and has brought it back to a four-point deficit.

Halftime

Just a clinic of an offensive first half from the Crusaders. With frosh point guard Casey Verhagen dishing out 9 assists, the Crusaders scored in just about every way imaginable to take a commanding halftime lead. It's a bit dire for Columbus as Jarred Mandel has three fouls, and quite frankly, they can't afford to not have him on the floor.

Leading Scorers:

SL: Delvin Barnstable 17, Jacob Ognacevic 15, Casey Verhagen 6, Graden Grabowski 6
CC: Ethan Meece 10, Bryce Fuerlinger 7, Jarred Mandel 5

Final

Valiant comeback effort from the Dons falls just short as Jacob Ognacevic and his supporting cast were just too much in the end.

Guess which part of Marshfield Columbus' game was their undoing in the first half today vs Sheboygan Lutheran ?  Seven ball-handling turnovers resulting in 15 points for the Crusaders.

The 18-pt hole which Columbus dug for itself in the first half, ultimately proved to be insurmountable.  The Dons got to within 4 pts with a little over a minute remaining in the game.   However, Sheb. Luth. scored the final 4 pts of the contest to seal the deal, 77-69.
