G-E-T's win streak continues after coming back from Westby, which held a five-point lead at the break. Arcadia is trending down at the wrong time while Westby is doing very well right now. A lot of teams, not just in the Coulee conference, are looking at that those top five playoff seeds.

Current Standings:
Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau: 16-1, 9-0
Arcadia: 14-4, 7-3
Westby: 10-7, 6-3
West Salem: 10-8, 5-4
Luther: 5-11, 3-5
Black River Falls: 2-15, 1-8
Viroqua: 1-15, 0-8

Monday, February 4:
Altoona @ G-E-T - Altoona has played very well recently after a poor start. They have had nice revenge-wins over Fall Creek and D4 #9 Regis. A tough road game lies ahead of them as they travel to red-hot G-E-T.
BRF @ LAX Central - BRF has struggled all season with a very difficult schedule, and this game brings no favors. Central being third in the MVC is a huge surprise to me. I don't see them having any problems against the Tigers.
Luther @ West Salem - In their last meeting, Luther was able to pull off the upset at home. Both of these teams are better than their overall records after playing tough non-conference opponents. I think West Salem is the better team, but this game should be close.

Tuesday, February 5:
Cashton @ Luther - The Scenic Bluffs conference race has been interesting to watch. Four teams are in position to win. Cashton recently got a huge win over Bangor and held them to just 4 points in the first half. Luther is much better than their record, but I'm not sure they can face another top Scenic Bluffs team without trouble.
G-E-T @ Viroqua - This is the tale of two offenses. G-E-T runs a high-efficiency, high-power offense while Viroqua's is more chuck it up and hope it goes in. The upset card is always there, but I can't imagine Viroqua pulling it in this match-up.
Richland Center @ Westby - RC is currently third in the SWC, which is a pretty tough conference. Their most impressive game was probably their 62-45 win over Necedah, which leads the Scenic Bluffs. Westby had a tough time at the beginning of the season, but their overall game has been improving. I expect a close and low-scoring game.
*Viroqua had a game at PdC scheduled for today, but it was canceled to make room for their conference game vs. G-E-T.

Thursday, February 7:
Arcadia @ Independence - Indy has had a nice season with only three total losses. They have an impressive 25 win over Cashton. Arcadia isn't doing well right now, which is very bad as the playoffs are right around the corner. Arcadia needs this win to regain their momentum.
West Salem @ G-E-T - West Salem kept this a close game when they hosted the Red Hawks earlier this season and even held a small lead at a couple points. G-E-T has shown a many times that they can crawl back when it is most important. West Salem is getting a little desperate for more wins before the playoffs, so this will probably be close.
Westby @ Viroqua - Viroqua hasn't had a win since their first game of the year where they managed to put up 72 points. Since then their offense has struggled greatly. I don't see them coming close to Westby.

Friday, February 8:
Logan @ Arcadia - Logan has had a tough season with only two wins overall. Arcadia is trending downward, but I don't see them dropping this game.
Luther @ BRF - Both teams have had a tough schedule, but Luther is definitely the better team. This could be a closer game depending on how BRF and their younger core plays.

Saturday, February 9:
Mauston @ Luther - Mauston is another team that has a offense that is tough to watch. Luther has quite a bit more talent than this team, so they should get an easy win.
Viroqua @ Cashton - Cashton is having a pretty solid season with a chance at taking their conference crown. Viroqua is pretty much the opposite.

My Predictions:
Altoona @ G-E-T
BRF @ Central
Luther @ West Salem

Cashton @ Luther
G-E-T @ Viroqua
RC @ Westby

Arcadia @ Indy
West Salem @ G-E-T
Westby @ Viroqua

Logan @ Arcadia
Luther @ BRF

Mauston @ Luther
Viroqua @ Cashton

Games of the Week:

Altoona @ G-E-T, RC @ Westby, West Salem @ G-E-T - These games should be close games that could have some serious playoff implications.

Monday, February 4 Scores:
Luther 32, West Salem 62 - West Salem did a great job at taking care of the ball and limiting turnovers, which is something they have struggled with all season. The opposite can be said about Luther.

BRF @ Central was rescheduled to this Thursday, and Altoona @ G-E-T was rescheduled to this Saturday.

Saturday Scores:
Altoona 35, G-E-T 75 - G-E-T dominated this game early against an Altoona team that has been improving since the beginning of the year. The bench was cleared for the Red Hawks, who continued to push down the pedal with its reserves.
No score for Mauston @ Luther.
Viroqua 28, Cashton 59
Westby 41, Indy 31
