NBA Hall of Famer John (Hondo) Havlicek, a Boston Celtic hoops legend, has passed away at age 79.

Havlicek (won) eight NBA championships and an NBA Finals MVP award, setting Celtics career records for points and games. He was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History and enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984. At Ohio State, he helped lead the Buckeyes to the 1960 national championship.

I wouldn't be surprised if Havlicek's passing gives the Celtics extra motivation to win the NBA title this year. Does it sound disrespectful, I hope not and if it did, I apologize.
